“It's quite a nice place and a nice atmosphere.”
“Acoustics suck, overpriced weak drinks”
“The food was mediocre and cold.”
“Might be a nice place - but not on NYE”
“The place is very nice, the drinks are a little pricey ($20 a round for 1 beer, 1 premium bourbon, 1 well margerita), but the barstaff (and management) are very nice and I WOULD go back there again for a concert event.”
“The decor is huge lava lamps and is overall pretty cheezy.”
The new hot club in buckhead is-----.
This place has undergone a total transformation! The lava lamps are gone and so is the cheezy 80's music. (I think they even got rid of the 8traxx name-seem to be calling it andrews upstairs).
Saw Huda Hudia Saturday-did not even know he was there every saturday now. Really cool lights and dancing- there was even a go go dancer (hottttt!) in a cage on stage. Tons of hot girls dancing and the place was packed (maybe my only complaint was that it was so busy that it was hard to get to the bathroom through the crowd).
Bartenders were nice and the drinks were normal Buckhead prices ($4 beers- 7 for a beam and coke or vodka tonic (what me and my girl drink). BTW- Julie, the beer tub girl is super sweet and hot-.
Nice place to stop by. This is a nice place to stop by for a drink or two, but the idea of getting sloshed here can put a dent in your pocket. They have two floors and serve drinks that were semi-cold. The music is nice and there is a pretty packed dance floor at night, if that is your kind of thing. My friends and I dropped by for 2 bottles each before moving on to another bar.
Good Music, sad crowd. Came here to dance a little. The music was a great blend of old 80s and 90's was AWESOME. However, the crowd that hangs out there was a little pathetic. Old old people dancing professionally on the floor or very drunk girls/boys falling all over the floor. Just sad to watch. The decor is huge lava lamps and is overall pretty cheezy. Not a nice club, but a good place to come and dance if you're completely tanked and don't care anymore.
Cool place to hang out.
Andrews Upstairs is our regular place where we hang out most of the time. It's quite a nice place and a nice atmosphere. It's really worth to check out.
Best regards Wilhelmina Dan Agency
Great club to see a show and meet girls. My friends and I end up there at least a couple of times a month. The bands that they book are good, saw a journey band there. We always enjoy staying later and dancing to the DJ. Everytime we go, the place is packed with good looking girls. I heard that some of the owners were bought out. Met one of the owners, Richard, nicest guy.
Might be a nice place - but not on NYE.
Paper ad for New Year's Eve party stated "Party Starts at 5PM, doors open at 5PM", as did website. Bought 3 $50 tickets to ensure admittance to both downstairs and upstairs where Mel & Party Hats were playing. Arrived at 5PM only to find out that the bar where the band would be (upstairs) did not open until midnight due to Atlanta law regarding alcohol on Sundays, the band would not be starting until midnight (for the same reason), and the bar that WAS open (downstairs) was not serving any food at all.
My suspicion is that it was advertised in this fashion (not exactly false, but somewhat misleading) purposefully as an ad that states "Band starts at midnight" would not be as attractive.
To be fair, when we addressed this with the manager, she was very receptive and gave us the option of getting a refund on our admission (with the understanding that we would leave), as well as getting our last round of drinks comped.
The place is very nice, the drinks are a little pricey ($20 a round for 1 beer, 1 premium bourbon, 1 well margerita), but the barstaff (and management) are very nice and I WOULD go back there again for a concert event.
The place rocks for seeing shows. The way the room is set up, it is very comfortable. A great venue for music
Acoustics suck, overpriced weak drinks. The acoustics in this room are terrible. The door prices are too high. The drink prices are too high. The bartenders make small weak drinks and are unfriendly. Suckhead.
Andrew's Upstairs NEW YEARS BOMB. We were excited to hear that Mel and the Party Hats were the New Year Band. So we bought the $65 dollar ticket that included the meal and the show. First of all we had reservations for 8:30 and were seated at 9:15. The food was mediocre and cold. We were supposed to have filet mignon but it was more like roast beef. After a disapointing dinner we are thought we had an awesome band to look forward to. BUT THEY HAD OVERSOLD THE EVENT... We waited in the lobby crammed with hundreds of people for over an hour and never got to go upstairs to hear Mel and the Party Hats. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANDREWS TO ANYONE
Ultrahip live-music venue attracts Buckhead's bold and beautiful singles..
The Scene
A singles scene rich with opportunities, this bar in Buckhead's West Village appeals to style-conscious 20- and 30-somethings. An amphitheater-shaped dance floor hugs the stage, which is intimate without being cramped; tiers of stools and tables rise into the back of the room. The bar on this level is large and airy, but still gets crowded. A steep stairway leads to a lounge-like loft that overlooks the music and dance action. The loft's small, less crowded bar allows for more breathing room.
The Draw
Swank, but not pretentious, Andrews Upstairs unfurls the red carpet for anyone who wants to have a good time. A diverse live-music lineup includes cover bands and acoustic originals. DJs start spinning after midnight for late-night owls.
