Great for a first date. I went here for lunch 8/7/08. Booths are private. You won't see the next couple from your table. Meal was timely served and perfect. Service was excellent as well.

Families and large groups feast on hearty cuts and comfort food at this Rocky-Mountain style steakhouse.. In Short
Lots of mahogany, tin ceilings, metal crown molding and Arts and Crafts-style décor prevail at this casual, comfortable saloon, part of media mogul Ted Turner's domain. Beef and bison are king, and they're hand-cut on site. Other bites include beer-can chicken, bison prime rib and cedar planked salmon. For dessert, there's home-made cookies, Kahlua fudge brownies, Coke floats and strawberry shortcake.

AVOID THIS BAR IF YOU CAN. DO NOT RECOMMENED.. So I am writing this after about 3 hours to think about this experience I had at this bar. First off, I was greeted on entry, found a place at the bar. Maybe two or 3 other customers at the bar in all.

Asked for a beer and a side of fries. Keep in mind this was ordered at the beginning. Started drinking, thinking my fries were on their way. Finished beer 50 minutes later when I heard a ruccus from my person serving me yelling at the kitchen at the top of her lungs about my fries. Knowing this was to cause a scene, I asked for my check, told her I wouldn't be back if they cant serve me a side of fries inside of 50 minutes and then she got ugly. I wanted to pay for my beer, she called the cook who took my beer off my tab and said sorry and I left.

It was a nice gesture not to charge me, but I really didnt appreciate the scene made when I waited for 50 minutes for a SIDE OF FRIES. Not a whole meal which a group of customers at a table got even though they ordered 30 minutes after I ordered my fries.

WILL NOT BE BACK AT THIS BAR. DO NOT RECOMMENED.

Thanks.

good stuff. Great product, affordable, fresh. Service has been hut or miss from time to time. But that's why there are mgrs. Speak with them early to get it corrected. Been a bunch, and always go back.

Good Bison steak. Had the KC Bison strip which was very good and cooked just right. Didn't taste much different than beef to me and had very little fat. Brocolli side was pretty bland and potatoes were ok not anything to write home to mom about. Onion rings for appetizer are great, very light batter and tasty. My wife had bison burger which was huge and looked good but she wasn't too keen on flavor of bison meat but she doesn't like dark meat anything so I think most folks would like it. Overall good dinner and reasonable prices.

Food Good, Service Bad!. Tried this location twice, had a bad experience both times. The first time there was shortly after it opened. The service was slow!! Took us over an hour for the entire dinner process and we ordered Bison burgers. We figured we would give them a second chance about a week ago. Once again, we were ignored for 5 minutes trying to get a table. Ordered and waited about 30 minutes for the burgers, waited another 7 minutes for the fries to go with them. Server NEVER checked on us, had to hunt him down to get tea refills twice, and then waited 10 minutes for the check. Then he did apologize for providing terrible service.. guess he heard us grumbling. Then to top it off, we waited 10 minutes at the register to pay the check. For a location where Ted lives upstairs from.. I would have expected better service!!

Cool Spot.... in a transisitioning downtown. I really enjoy the location and decor of this restarant. It reminds me of the types of spots that I would find in on visits to Toronto and Chicago on business trips. In downtown, elegantly designed, and in a vintage Atlanta building Ted's new digs has alot to offer for those yearning for a touch of reasonably-priced class in Downtown Atlanta. The food is good...I recommend the pot roast and the specials. Having your Coke served in glass bottles is a nice touch as well. The bar is also nice but doesn't stay open that late and for some reason they designed the booths to block your view of the city. I recommend.
