Great toys, Great staff. My husband and I have three small children. We have been shopping at Picayune Toys for years! It is my kids FAVORITE place to go!! They have a great selection of developmental and educational toys, as well as just some really cool stuff for kids of all ages. We recently went in for their Christmas in July sale and walked out with a TON of new stuff. The staff is always extremely nice and friendly. They go out of their way to talk to our kids and they treat them like adults. They always make terrific recommendations on toys they know my kids will love and if they happen not to carry something I am looking for, they tell me where I can find it. They have lots of toys out for the kids to play with while we are in the store. Superb quality products, terrific sales, and and extremely friendly staff - we LOVE Picayune Toys!!!

BAD SERVICE! owners daughter Jennifer hurt my little girl. I have frequented this toy store for years. Unfortunately, my girlfriends and I had a terrible experience this morning. The owners daughter, I think her name is Jennifer, was as rude as they come. None of us could believe what came out of her mouth and what she did to my daughter. My daughter was playing with a plastic bead bracelet $2 or $3 tops. She held it up and put it on her wrist like any little girl would and she looked in the mirror placing her hand on the mirror. Quickly Jennifer came up to her and held my daughter's had and pulled the plastic bead bracelet right off her little hand and told her not to touch it incase she were to break it. My friends and I looked at her in astonishment with our jaws dropped. She literally hurt my daughter"s feelings. My daughters feeling were so hurt she began to tear up and say "i wanted to play with that" At that moment we got our kids together and proceeded out of the store but not before my little sweet thoughtful daughter wanted to be sure to put her two figurines back where they belong.

As we left I had my daughter say bye to the lady (jennifer) only because I have taught my daughter to always say thank you and bye bye. I told the lady how wrong that was to say and that we had frequented the store was never asked by anyone to stop playing with something. She said that "at her age they will break things. My daughter is 3 years old and so sweet and gentle... I was so very disturbed by her behavior or grabbing her hand to pull off the bracelet and saying to a 3 year old that they will break something.

My 2 friends and I will be sure to tell our friends and I am sure none of them will be back to the store. We are all mothers and do not enjoy our children treated poorly and disrespected or have their feelings hurt by foolish adults.

This is a toy store not a store that sells top designer fine china. You DO NOT touch someone elses child and you DO NOT say things like this to them!

If you want great toys try LEARNING EXPRESS up in Northpoint! They are awesome and they have everything imaginable PLUS GREAT SERVICE and the children can explore and try everything out just like all other toy stores EXCEPT for picayune.
