Atlanta >Rockit Salon
Janelle ROCKS. On a visit to Atlanta, I came into Rockit and asked Janelle what she thought of my hair? She said, "It's blonde. It's pretty but it doesn't seem as cool as you!" It was exactly how I felt. She gave me more depth to my color using more shades and cut my hair so it complimented my color and my face! I decided to make the trip up to Atlanta whenever I needed my hair done and I ended up moving here a year later. I've been going to her now for two years. I never have to tell her what to do, she has a true gift and is a real artist! Plus I love the products that she uses too!
I love you guys!!!!. I have been seeing Dana for about 5 years now. My hair loves her!!!! This place knows how to do BLONDE I have never gone away unhappy. Stephanie has done my hair before too. I love all the ladies there and would go to any of them!!! Thanks for everything Girls!
I got exactly the color I asked her NOT to give me!. I have been looking for a new salon ever since my colorist moved to CA about a year ago. I saw Tiffany for a cut and color, hoping I could finally find a salon & a stylist that I am happy with. She gave me highlights and at first I thought they were perfect. After a few days though they became exactly the color I told her I didn't want them to be! My husband also saw her for a hair cut and had to go get another hair cut a few days later by someone else because she left his hair so uneven.
Thank the Hair Gods for Rockit!. I recently relocated to Atlanta from L.A. and was extremely apprehensive about the salons here. I am used to Beverly Hills hairdressers and maintaining a natural looking California blonde. I stopped a girl at Two Urban Licks that the most amazing long blonde hair to find out who did her hair - she recommended Rockit Salon. I called and got in with Tiffany - She is amazing! My blonde has never looked better and she gave me killer new cut! I will definitely send everyone I know to her.
Bad Haircut at Toni&Guy.
I'll try Rockit Salon because I am recovering from a horrible haircut from Toni&Guy at Gwinnett Place Mall in Atlanta. I should have known better when I walked in, since all the stylists looked like punk rock rejects... but the place was recommended by a close friend so I continued. I spent a long time talking about my hair and even brought a picture of what I wanted (long, wavy, and layered). Well, the stylist attacked my hair and basically gave me a mullet. All that was left of my beautiful long hair was a few stringy pieces sticking out from the very bottom. She obviously didn't know what she was doing, which was surprising since she was a "Director 2", supposedly Toni&Guy's most experienced (and expensive) type of stylist. I'd hate to see what the less experienced stylists would have done. Before, my hair was long, one length, and full of volume. The stylist assured me that layers would only add to the volume by removing some of the weight that was dragging my hair down. She removed weight alright. Half my hair. Now my hair is so thin you can see my neck through it.
My lesson learned is to never let someone touch your hair if you do not like the way that they wear their hair. I don't like "avant garde" hairdos, striped or green hair, so I can't trust that someone who does would style my hair in a normal way. I like beautiful hair... like Jessica Simpson, Giselle Bundchen, Jennifer Anniston, Eva Longoria. Not a hacked up haircut that looks like I did it myself.
Also, more expensive does not always mean better. I thought that I would get a better cut at a salon that charges more, but that was certainly not the case. I don't know how they justify their prices, because the other people having their hair done at Toni&Guy didn't look like they were getting good haircuts either. I didn't see one person's hair in the place that I envied.
My best haircut in Atlanta!. Having been in this city for 2 years and suffering through one bad haircut after another from different salons that pass themselves off swanky but just end up being overpriced, I was a little hesitant about trying Rockit. But it's close to my house and the other reviews on Citysearch convinced me it was worth a try. I had a *great* experience with Stephanie: she was really friendly, was honest with me about what she thought would or wouldn't work with my hair, and told me exactly what she was going to do through each step along the way. Best of all, she took her time and honestly seemed to care whether I or not I was happy with the results -- and I definitely was. Rockit and Stephanie have found a new loyal customer in me.
You will not be disappointed. I am a salon slut and this salon far surpasses any salon that I have been in! I highly reccomend it...
may have found my new hair "home". Just moved into town fom Baltimore and was not looking foward to finding a new hair stylist.Dug around on City Search and came up with Rockit.Called Friday and got in for a haircut and color consult with Sue on Saturday.I'm used to my girlfriends kitchen for cuts and a small salon near Fells Point for color. So I didn't want a big salon with attitude.Luckily when I walked in I felt none of that.Sue talked with me about my hairs history, what I wanted today(a trim on my piecey bob, which she nailed)and about a few bronze highlights in my usually solid brown touch-up).I felt comfortable in the funky and fun space even though it is under construction.I will definately go back for the color and also send my boyfriend in for a cut.I hope when I go back for the color I can say I've found my new hair "home" in Atlanta!
very professional, great experience!. Thank goodness I have found Rockit Salon. I used City Search to find a salon near my house and was booked with Sue. My Haircut and color were amazing and the atmosphere was very relaxed not uptight. I haven't seen talent in a salon like that in years! I would recommend Rockit to anyone. Thanks again Rockit!
Holy Cut Batman!. As I walked into Rockit Salon I was greeted by a warm and friendly face, who turned out to be Lisa. I had seen alot of Dana's work throught the Atlanta music scene. I had always wanted to get my hair cut by her because I always loved how her hair looked! I knew I was ready to cut about 12 inches off and she was just the lady to do it. I wanted my hair cut and color to symbolize me. I let her do what she wanted with very little input on my part. I have transformed from the "boring ole mom" into a "sexy rockin' hot mom"! I will never go anywhere else as long as Dana is able to cut hair!! Rockit Salon, ROCKS!!
