My husband was sent home with a life threatening virus. My husband saw Dr West's PA Feb 2008 with the Flu and strange sensations in his torso. He was told he just had the flu and sent home. 2 Days later the strange sensations in his torso got worse to wear it was painful to the touch. We contacted Dr West's PA thining my husband had the shingles. My husband was given some nerve medication and sent home. The next day my husband lost bladder control and again contacted Dr West's PA. My husband was sent to a urologist and then sent on for a bunch of MRIs on his lower spinal cord. The next day, my husband had developed severe shaking and again went to see Dr West's PA. The PA, John Eren told my husband that he did not know what the problem was and to let him know once we found out. We asked him to try to get us in to see a Neurologist and we were told by the PA's that we did not need a referal from them to make an appointment with any specialists. I agreed that I did not need a referal but I thought that they had a better chance at getting my husband an emergency appointment easier than we could. We basically handled the situation ourselves after that. I got my husband in to see a Neurologist 2 hours after leaving Dr. West's office. The Neurologist told one look at my husband: cathader, shaking, barely able to walk and in pain from his clothes touching his skin. The Neurologist wheeled my husband to the hospital right away to get admitted. My husband had Transverse Myelitis.

I cannot believe that we were told "I don't know what your problem is but let us know when you find out" by Dr. West PA.

Needless to say - Perimeter North Medical is FIRED!!!
