I have had nothing but a positive experience with NuRock and their staff. They are service oriented and are prompt in taking care of any work orders or issues that I have had. I have lived in two NuRock managed properties, and in both cases, the managers and service personnel were personable and interested in taking care of my needs.
I have found that living in apartments (I used to own a house until 2007) is quite a bit different now than living in an apartment back in the 1980's. Because of social media, management has to take great care of their residents or risk being soundly whipped by anonymous reviews of disgruntled residents and former residents, which hurts a company's ability to have a sterling reputation.
I think the folks at NuRock have risen to the task of overcoming objections and dealing with issues head on. I appreciate their candor, and can do attitude. I especially like the fact that they know me on a first name basis at the office and will come to my apartment when I ask them to.
I enjoy the amenities that the property offers and the neighbors. if birds of a feather flock together, as long as I am going to live in an apartment, I will gladly live in a NuRock managed property.
Living in an apartment is just as much about the people who live and work there as it is the building and apartment you live in. It is about a community. I like my community and my neighbors.
Does anyone have any tips on how to locate an accounts payable person. I have gone to all the address I had on file and they (Corp) have moved many times. I am in need of getting paid and would appreciate anyone who may have info. So far no one from the staff has been able to want to help us get paid for services. I too am getting an attorney if I can not any other remedies.
For all the Good things that peoples are saying on here is written by one of the staff members,If I knew of a attorney that handle some of there law suits, I would called them...don't believe nothing on this page that these ppls are saying good about nurock....how can they stay in business, cheating ppls and charging them what they want to charge......I need a attorney.....and I will find one.

I have never had any complaints about this company. Everybody has been fair and courteous.
Great Company – NuRock is a great company to work for. I have been with them for years!!! The reason why I have been with them for this long is because I do my job, imagine that.... You determine how long you are employed, not just at NuRock but any where you work. If you do your job and give 100% your will always have a place at NuRock. The residents that wrote negative reviews were probably tenants at one of the apartment communities where the ex employees (that wrote the negative reviews) worked, which is the exact reason why they are no longer employed with NuRock.

I WAS TOLD THAT "SOMEONE" WOULD COME IN THE FOLLWING MONDAY AND TO DATE NO ONE HAS NOT...IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 9 MONTHS.
PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND MONEY AND GO WITH ANOTHER COMPANY. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL MY LEASE IS OVER SO I CAN DO THE SAME.

Nurock Beware – DO NOT do business with this company if you are a vendor providing goods or services....very likely you will be stiffed. These crooks are professional debtors and know how to work the system. If you do provide any goods or services make sure you are paid in full in advance and the check clears the bank. You have been warned!
Personally-I would not tarnish my company's reputation by dealing with them. Robert Hoskins is a crook and the money is not worth it. We learned the hard way!
Pretty on the surface UGLY on the inside STAY AWAY – OK...I gave 1 star only because I had to. Believe me I would give a negative star if I could.

I live in San Antonio and visited the Nurock property “Residences of Onion Creek" on Slaughter Lane earlier today. From first appearances the property looks nice (mind you I never went on a tour of the apartment). While I was looking around the office getting a lay of the land (my wife is trusting me to find a home for our family...we are moving from San Antonio) a child/teenager came into the office with a bag with what appeared to be a dead mouse/small rat. He showed the bag to the staff and one of the women in the office was a little startled...however there was a gentleman (who appeared to be the boss) who snapped at the child stating that they were aware and that pest control would be here next week. This man’s behavior struck a nerve with me...first of all snapping at a child....if that had been my child....he would not of been standing long...second...that is not the way to handle a problem.
So I decided to step out of the office and drive around the apartments and this is what I learned... but first let me say that before I posted my comments I read everything that I could find regarding Nurock management. I believe that a person should be armed with all of their facts...I advise you to read everything posted about Nurock Management!!!!!!!
I stopped and visited with several of the current residents...not one of them suggested that I move to the property…instead they all said they had wished someone would have warned them. There is almost always at least one neutral person in the bunch…not this time.
Two conversations that I had really stood out, however the consensus overall was the same. Apparently this company runs through staff every couple of months. One person said that she personally has witnessed 6 different Property Managers in 1 year and the only manager that actually did anything…they just fired. Apparently this last manager was around for just a few months, but everyone I talked to said she was the best one they have seen and could not believe that they fired her. One of the women I spoke to would not stop talking about how if there was a problem she would get off her butt and take care of it. lol
I am only bringing all of this information to light because almost every other review that has been written about Nurock speaks of the horrible way they treat their employees and their vendors. A company’s goodness starts with the way they treat their employees. My father ran an amazing hardware store while I was growing up and he always treated every one of his employees as if they were family.
This place has to be messed up if the residents are saying stay away. You know that saying “Never Judge a Book By Its Cover” How True...How true…Residences of Onion Creek…Pretty on the surface and UGLY on the inside.
Look for expose' on slum lord, NuRock Management – I moved into the newly renovated Tuscany Village apts under the management of Nurock properties nearly 1.5 yrs ago. Very pretty facade. That's right a facade. The enticements were "new apts., sparkling pool, new appliances, computer room, exercise room, and after school breakout". All this behind a secured, gated community. Sounds great, especially for an income-based apt. So here's the truth. The buildings are built with inferior materials and poorly constructed. No door in my apt hangs properly, the floors are uneven and rocks are felt underneath the carpet. The walls are concaved. Garbage is often found outside the compactor. There is no regular spraying for insects. None of the things advertised were available when I moved in and most still aren't. The pool finally opened, late summer but it closes at 5:00 pm. So when does anyone who works get to use it. Management is a joke. Turnover high. In a year there has been at least five different groups here. I pay full market price for my apt. I work everyday, 9-5. When I came in to pay my rent, the office was closed...at 5:00. I came in the next day on my lunch and was told there was no deposit box. No checks excepted. Debit/credit cards only or money orders. Both requiring pmt in person. Pointing out a conflict in time, I was told to leave a money order with the maintenance person!! Really??! She could not nor would she stay late to accommodate the residences. But would collect 25.00 for the 1st late day and an additional 5 for each day afterwards. I pay nearly 900.00 to these people every month on time and even early, just to be a good resident. Recently I lost my job. Asking if they would adjust my rent (income based, right?) I was told "no". The company has never made it a practice to help a resident in this situation. So, still trying to be the 'good resident' I informed the manager that I would be moving, for I couldn't afford to pay the 900.00 with unemployment. She responded with 'Well just so you know, you will still be expected to pay the rest of your contracted year." Unbelievable!! So I paid my rent, that very day, 3 DAYS EARLY. The next week I received a note in the door ACCUSING ME OF BEING LATE with my rent and owing over 50.00 dollars to them, DEMANDING payment immediately, and THREATENING to file for a warrant against me for 50.00 and three days late. I went to the office to discuss why was such a horrible letter put in door. I was told 'yeah, well you're not the only one. I don't know what happened but we'll get to you. There are others ahead of you.' Now, I understand Kim did not make the standard form letter I held in my hand. I was not looking for her to simply erase the problem. What I wanted to some good ole-fashioned customer service. I'm a regular, good paying, now irate customer looking to be placated. I got nothing but a dismissal. She actually at one point turned her back on me and walked away. I waited as she attended to other business. I approached her again, that I had not been satisfied. She asked, "what do you want? You're mad because I'm doing my job." I replied, "No, Kim, I simply want some good customer service. " I went so far as to TELL her what she should be saying to me, which is first to apologize to me, make me feel like a valued customer. She simply looked at me and refused to say anything. I recorded the incident, and am sending it into CBS. NuRock management is a slumlord and there no other way to look at it.
