The Scene
The spa compensates for its bland strip mall exterior by creating a welcoming interior of warm browns, trickling fountains and fragrant candles. Lotions, books and clarifying makeup crowd the reception area, but employees never pressure a sale. Once swaddled in a fluffy robe, the welcoming staff ushers you into small treatment rooms that shut out all distractions.
The Services
This spa puts most intown operations to shame with its vast offerings. The most popular facial, the 80-minute oxygen, uses a mud mask to detoxify troubled skin. The spa's assorted body wraps--firming, detox, thalassotherapy--are soothing, but rooms tend to be chilly. Go ahead and pay the little extra for a Vichy shower--nine shower heads give a wondrous massage. And if it's romance you're after, request the candlelit room for you and your honey and order any massage off the menu.
