Atlanta >Ecotage Salon
“like this salon, as it's simple and at a very convenient location.”
“went to Ecotage because it seemed convenient and looked nice enough from the outside, but I do not plan to go back again.”
“Galina is ever so gentle, so friendly and giving so many good tips on taking care of yourself.”
“not worth the $50.00 could have gotten a better style and cust from GREAT CLIPS.”
DON'T GO THERE.
I would give negative stars if I could.
I told my, Ashan stylist not to add a certain color in my hair and she put it in anyway AS I WAS TELLING HER NOT TO. I had to tell another stylist, he got her to wash it out of my head. Ashan also got dye on my hand and neck. I asked her three times to get a towel (within a 20 minute period because she left me although she had no other clients for the day). I had to wait until the front desk person came in the back so he could get the dye off of me.
I have dry hair and asked her to use a moisture rich shampoo- last time I was there she had used the clarifying shampoo leaving my African American WAY dry & brittle. She refused saying "they're all redken products they're all good." She didn't even keep a towel on my hair, but placed my dripping hair right onto my back SOAKING MY SHIRT.
She dyed my hair the wrong color and refused to fix it although they did not close for another 2hrs. Instead, the front desk person had told them that they had no other clients on the books for the day and, if they wanted to, they could leave early. They closed two hours early, yet she refused to fix my hair.
Then they asked my to pay 50 dollars and they knew I was upset YET THEY ASKED FOR A TIP.
do NOT consider this salon for your wedding.
If you are looking for a salon to do hair and make-up for your wedding, don't even consider Ecotage Salon.
The stylist I did my trial with never showed up (even though she intermittently called me on my cell phone for a period of one hour saying she was 'just one light away' or would be there in 5 mins), the salon didn't have hair pins or hair ties (I'm not making that up) and half of my bridesmaids' hair fell down in the car ride home.
Also, when I called the manager that morning to tell her about the above, I was yelled at for being unreasonable and told I had never informed her that I needed to leave at a certain time (which I promise, I had done repeatedly). My sister left a voice mail for the manager when we left to tell her that we would need to meet with her on Monday to discuss how the morning had gone (namely, no hair pins/ hair ties, no power for the first 15 mins, the stylists we had booked and done a trial with never showed up), but emphasized that we wanted to put the experience behind us for the rest of the weekend and focus on the wedding.
I received a very rude voice mail from the manager on my cell phone an hour later, once again, saying I was being unreasonable--even if the stylist I had my trial with didn't come, someone had ended doing my hair, so what was the issue? My mom returned the call and left another message with the manager saying there may be some aspects of the morning she had not been made aware of and that they would like to meet with her on Monday. Once again, she reiterated that we would like to put the experience behind us for the rest of the day and focus on the wedding.
Flash forward one hour: I am driving to the church with my parents and receive a call from the manager--once again, defending the salon and arguing with me that I had never discussed needing to leave at a certain time (which I promise, I had. This conversation was in the presence of several members of my bridal party who assured me that this was made clear).
I told her I was on the way to the church and did not want to have this conversation at this time. She continued to yell and I hung up.
It ended up being a beautiful day--one of the happiest of my life--but I would be lying if I said the whole experience didn't frazzle my family and me and wasn't a nightmarish way to start my wedding day.
The stylist who did end up doing my hair apologized throughout the morning for how the situation was handled and told me they couldn't believe how calm I was (I think at the time, I was too stressed out to do anything but sit there numbly and hand them hair pins from my purse). Macy's Regional also apologized when we did follow-up on Monday and refunded me in full.
Nevertheless, I wanted to write this review to prevent some poor out-of-town bride from making the same mistake.
Nice Experience. I was in town visiting and I saw this salon inside Macy's and decided to get a mani and pedi. The staff at the fron desk was very nice in booking my service. The Nail Tech introduced her self to me and my journey began, she even had me to fill out a card about the history if my nails( I have never done that before) My pedicure was excellent and it put me to sleep. I really like that I was in a room by myself with soft music and candles. She even sent me home with a product to help my dry brittle nails and she gave me great tips to keep up at home. THANKS Deneca for a good experience.
Worst Salon in Atlanta.
This salon should be shut down by the State of Ga. There are unsanitary conditions in this salon, I am surprised they have not been sued yet.
The staff is very unprofessional and not skilled at what they do!!!!!!!!
All I can say is RUN, RUN away as fast as you can from Premier Salon inside Macys Lenox
One of a kind stylist. Over the years, I have traveled a long way to have my hair cut and colored by Marcia. She is an amazing stylist and colorist and I am consistenly pleased with her services. She is professional, friendly, and has a creative edge to her work which I so love!!!
best haircut ever.
I will follow this girl any where. Marcia has been cutting my hair for a couple years, I have had more compliments on my hair since she has been cutting it, more then any other.
Marcia has great style and knowledge, she has helped me have a youthful and very stylish, modern look that I just love. She has brought her passion for great hair back to Buckhead and to her new salon. I will look forward to visiting Ecotage and its lovely environment again.
Glad she moved to Buckhead!!!!!. Marcia is a top European hair style and color professional. Not only is she an artist and expert at her craft; her commitment to excellence in results and in service is evident every time I visit. She is a passionate professional who looks after every detail with care and attention, and delivers results that consistently exceed my expectations. Marcia is also a delightful, caring person and loyal friend. She's always looking for ways to give back to the community, and is a pleasure to be around. I highly recommend Marcia!”
Marcia! Marcia! Marcia!. Love her! Love her work! She's the Best!!!!!
Sensational!!!!. I am so excited about finally finding a hair stylist who not only listens to my wants and needs, but does a fantastic job! Marcia is Amazing! Like most woman, I was nervous at first, but she made me feel very comfortable and took the time to listen to me and make sure that my needs were met not hers. That was a change for me, ususally it is the other way around. She took extra time with me and did everything I asked for and then some. I left there looking like a million bucks and feeling like a new person inside and out! I am so glad I stubled upon Premier Salon inside the Macy's at Lenox. I'll definitely be back to see Marcia!
If you should ever find yourself in Macy's basement, continue shopping instead of stumbling in to Eco-whatever for a hack job.
The Good: people were friendly-ish and acted happy to have my business.
The Bad: everything else.
Stylist did not introduce himself or ask for my name.
Stylist did not ask what type of haircut I wanted, he just started in with the clippers. (no one ever uses clippers on my hair)
Upon communicating what type of hair cut I wanted, my requests were ignored or misunderstood (I used the same 3 sentences to describe my very common haircut that I have used for the last 10 years)
I was seated about 3 feet too far from mirror, so I couldn't see what was happening to my head.
My hair was cut dry (never has been done that way prior, stylist always shampoos first)
Staff was bantering in an unintelligible manner. It was unprofessional and annoying.
In short, I didn't like it. I hope this is an anomaly. Will be begging my old stylist to move back to town, or just drive the 3 hours for a trim up.
