“Great ambience + food + price + service”
If I could recommend no stars I would!!!! I took my family there to eat after hearing a friend speak of the food delivered. BIG MISTAKE!!! While indeed it was a very quiet atmosphere, upon receiving our food my niece noticed that there was something crawling on the table. Imagine our surprise when we lifted the napkin to find a large ROACH crawling on the table as if we were not even there! We notified the waiter of this and I asked if I could speak with management privately to not make a scene. Imagine my surprise when I was told that they have someone that comes out to spray every week but they cannot seem to get rid of the bugs! "It's because the house is old" was the excuse that I was given. I was horrified!!! We had barely began to eat so I then asked if the bill would be reduced or free because there was no way I could let my family eat there and was told that there would not even be a discount because there was nothing they could do about the bugs!!! I could not believe what I was even hearing. Needless to say I will never go back there. If the ROACHES are that bad in the dining room I can only imagine what is going on in the kitchen!!!! ABOSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!!!
Pretty good for Midtown.
Ate here with a group of friends (thanks Restaurant dot com for the certificate!). It was pretty good, but not as powerful in taste as authentic chinese restaurants on Buford Hwy. It was also surprisingly affordable for that neighborhood! We ate on the Patio in the great weather--wonderful patio dining! The waitstaff was really nice, even when my friend spilt a drink!
I'd go back...also makes for a good walk with the neighboring bars!
Unreliable delivery. I've lived 2 blocks over from Mu Lan for 6 years. And in that time, I've yet to have a single order delivered within the 45 minute delivery time. This would be acceptable if I lived many miles away. But given that I live (literally) around the corner from them, this is simply unacceptable. I've placed my last order with them. Never again.
Great Chinese in Midtown. This is some of the best chinese in the midtown area. Lunch specials start at $6 and the food is great. A nice deck to eat outside if the weather is nice The staff is nice and friendly and you can be back at work in under an hour.
Best Chinese in Atlanta. Go, go go! I can't find anything negative about it. Go for the atmosphere: No Midtown restaurant is a relaxing as this one. To couple that, the food is really solid and zesty. Try the Tangerine Beef for a splash of pure love. It's sublime. Mu Shu chicken/pork works well too. Don't forget that they have half-price wine on Sunday-Thursday. They have some nice choices.
Amazing food with amazing price.... The lunch menu was amazing. Not only was an entire meal only 6.00 dollars, but it was the best Chinese food in the city. The sweat and sour chicken was a great surprise with its mango pear sauce. And who can complain about 1/2 off wine??? The atmosphere was also perfect. The front porch is great on a nice day ... but even on a cloudy day the inside would make anyone feel at home.Would recommend this place to everyone.
Good food, veggie options!. I have eaten here a few times, twice on delivery and once at the actual restaurant. The restaurant has a very nice, cultural atmosphere and the service was fantastic. The delivery also never took too long to deliver. This restaurant is a bit pricey for dinner but lunch prices are very reasonable. They also have several vegetarian options, even the hot and sour soup is vegetarian which is rare. The spring rolls here are also pretty good themselves. I will note again, the dinner menu is a bit pricey. The restaurant itself is a neat location and is charming and romantic is a unique way. I was seated immediately, as well, which is a plus. There are cheaper chinese places in atlanta but also very "questionable" ones. Check out some of these places in person before you actually order delivery from them. I trust this place, they seem like a clean, organized business.
Worst delivery in town!!!!!!. I live 5 blocks for Mu Lan and the order took 1 hour and 20 minutes. @ phones calls to them saying The food is on the way. Of course when it arrives its cold. I call them and tell them I want hot food delivered they tell me its going to take another 50 minutes, I ask him to clarify whether he said 15 or 50. It was 50. There are just too many other restaurants serving Chinese food with heavy MSG to order from which I will do in the future.
Great ambience + food + price + service. I've been there three times thus far. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed dining there each time. I can already see MuLan becoming a regular for us. I'm a picky vegetarian when it comes to food and MuLan has managed to beat my expectations.
We Ordered Delivery On Sunday Night, And Something Is Missing!. We have driven by Mu Lan's dozens of times, and have never personally been in. But somehow, we always get a menu stuck to our door. Sunday night, waiting on 60 minutes, we give a call. It took forever for our delivery to come. Basil rolls were fair. But the Sweet 'N Sour Pork, tasted almost like Chung King. Canned pineapple, and a few chopped peppers in one container w/ultra-sweet sauce, and the deep fried pork in another container. I guess this was meant for do it for yourself. While we have steered away from Chinese the last few years, in favor of Thai, there are still a few quality delivery spots in town. We will just stick with Grand China. I guess it's just a preference, and certainly not about the price.
