Dinged $300 for "missing" items.
While the stay was fair, and the staff professional, I received a bill in my email which had 3 items tagged "missing" to the tune of $300. Knowing I didn't take anything from the room, I decided to investigate.
A few days and a few calls later, I was informed the missing items were 2 pillows and a bed lining, which seems like an odd thing to want to steal from a hotel.
I was informed the hotel assistant manager Silvia Riedel would call me back to discuss the charges, but after 6 or 7 days, I had to call back to get in touch with her.
The conversation was brief, but ultimately Silvia was unwilling to work with me and simply stated the items were missing from the room and I was liable. Since it basically comes down to my word vs the cleaning staff's word, it would seem Marriott has the ability to charge whatever they wish with no way to contest the charges.
This will be my last stay at a Marriott, and I feel fortunate to learn a valuable customer service lesson for only $300.

Midtown's less-flashy hotel still gives travelers plenty of reasons to stay..
In Short
Located in the heart of majestic Midtown, on 14th street amid high-rise condos, restaurants, nightlife and Piedmont Park, this full-service, all-suites hotel may not dazzle as much as its neighbor Four Seasons but it does a fine job of accommodating travelers and guests to the city. Suites overlook Midtown Atlanta and are replete with spacious living rooms, king-sized beds and all the accommodations. Amenities include plush beds with down comforters, cable television with movies, high-speed Internet, wetbar, sofa bed and bathroom with separate tub and shower. The hotel offers all-day dining options at its on-site restaurant, Allie's, and is walking distance to some of the city's best eateries, including South City Kitchn, Trois, Oceanaire Seafood and Veni Vidi Vici. Health-conscious guests will enjoy working out in the on-site fitness center and taking a dip in the indoor/outdoor pool.

Extra-spacious suites in a great location..
The Scene
This reasonably priced all-suite hotel offers stiff competition to nearby upper-scale and more expensive lodgings with in-room wet bars, separate bedrooms and living rooms with convertible sofas. It is a short walk from the 14th Street Playhouse, High Museum and Atlanta Symphony Hall.
The Details
Each of the 254 spacious suites has a separate living area and oversized bathroom. Popular with business travelers, the chain's famous "The Room that Works" features a work desk, high-speed Internet access, voice mail and data port. Nine meeting rooms encompass a total of 5,500 square-feet. Recreation ranges from an indoor/outdoor pool to 14-hour fitness center. Dining options include Allie's American Grille, which serves buffet lunches and dinners as well as standard American fare. South City Kitchen and Vickery's offer additional dining options a short walk away.

The employees of the hotel were always willing to help you find anything you were looking for or assist you in any way to make your stay more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and open which made you feel like you were at home. The breakfast that was included with our stay was delicious. Let's just say you get well worth what you pay for!
