It used to be a favorite...but now we won't go back. My husband and I have been dining at Twist for about 5 years. It was a great date spot for dinner and a movie before we were married, and then became a celebration stop for new jobs or birthdays. Last night was our last time there though. We were seated promptly at our reservation time, but after waiting 15 minutes I had to flag down a manager to get someone to come to the table. Over the years, the service has always been pretty spotty, but this was the worst. She got our drinks and even came back and got our appetizer order. We didn't see the waitress until about 20 minutes later. Also, in the last year, price have gone up and portions have gone down. The average tapa is now $7 for about 4 bites and the desserts are up to $4.50 each, 3 for $12 instead of the 3 for $10 we used to enjoy as a standard end to every meal. Even the Sinatra sushi roll we always order had fewer pieces. Then there's taste. The flavors just aren't there anymore. The old standards are still on the menu, but the new additions are plain and boring. So, we won't be back. And I don't think we're the only ones, because when we left at about 8:00 on a Saturday night the place was empty.

I can't believe people gave this place 5 stars. My sister and I tried Twist for our b-day celebrations. It is average at best. Our server was nice and very prompt, and the area we sat in (the lounge) was spacious and the overall feeling of the place was very trendy. But the food was very bland and lacked authentic tapas taste (stick to Eclipse di Luna). It is also very loud! You will have to yell at others sitting at your table. But waitress did give us a free cake for our b-day; a nice finishing touch.

Wouldn't come back.. I went here with a few cousins because they heard about it and we were all pretty indecisive about where we wanted to eat that day. They told me they served small plates of interesting food so I wanted to check it out. The service was okay but not great. It was hard to choose from the entre menu because all of the food sounded nasty, I guess I'm a picky eater. And once it came our food was definitely COLD. I wouldn't come back or suggest the restaurant to a friend.

YAWN. Nothing to write home about - the food is mediocre and too pricey -- the atmosphere is just boring -

but for some reason this seems to be the "it" place to be---

one question --- WHY

have been there multiiple times with friends picking the place -

there are better places to drop your cash -

tapas are lame -

sorry twist -- no go

oh they do make a good martini and the wait staff is friendly

Try It Out!. My date and I tried out Twist recently on a Friday night. The atmosphere was exactly what we expected - loud, bright, modern, and busy. When we were finally able to grab a seat at the bar, the bartender was excellent. After a short wait we were seated. The hostess staff was nice and accurate with our wait time. Our waiter arrived seeming a bit distant and frazzled, but he handled our order promptly and appropriately. The menu is vast with choices. The sushi was excellent! The cost is on the price side perhaps, but seems no more expensive than any other ?see-and-be-seen? restaurant around the city. I?d recommend checking it out when you aren't looking for a quiet evening out!

Out of Control Manager!!! STAY AWAY. My friend and I went out after a hard day to Phipps mall and decided to watch a movie and get dinner at Twist.... we got to the restaurant and asked to be seated at 9pm. We were told that they stopped serving dinner and that if we wanted we could take a seat at the bar and get drinks... hungry and tired... we tried to check out the other restaurants .... unfortunatley couldnt find anything we could agree on.. so we just went back to Twist and decided to get a few drinks... when we started noticing that the people all around us were being served food and waiters were taking orders... the waitress tried to tell us that they weren't taking orders... we just decided to ignore this... we got our drinks 45 MINUTES LATER!! Then had the drinks yanked out under us when we asked to move to a more comfortable location. I then called the manager... asked him about the drinks (which he refused to replace) and then asked why everyone was getting their orders taken? He told me that dinner time ended at 10... when we told him what the hostess said... he told us that SHE DIDN'T SAY THAT... He then went on to imply that we wre just trying to get free food....and told me that he had seen me there a number of times so I should know better!! IF HE SEEN ME THERE SO OFTEN... SHOULDN'T HE TREAT ME AND MY FRIEND WITH RESPECT...

FOUR MONTHS LATER... I went back here as my friend suprised me for my birthday. The entire time I was here the manager kept giving me evil glances... the food here is good but not good enough for the treatment.

Overpriced. We went with a group of people from my office. It was a nice atmosphere, we went on Monday night and the 1/2 price wine special was great.

The food, however, was very expensive. Even the tapas was a little pricey. My husband got a special, I got Paella, which was a good price for $20 (it would easily feed 2) but it was very bland and had no flavor. People across from me got a steak for $30---with nothing else.

This place is very average, but for the price, I much prefer Two Urban Licks or for tapas, Sabroso.

Bottom line, good drinks, wine special is great. But food is lacking.

Pretty good food, but a little loud!. This place was pretty good. Let us start with the scene. A great scene located inside Phipps Plaza, but the one thing that is a mess about this place is the noise. Wow, this place needs to find a way to keep the people a little bit more quiet. Plus, there was a teenage girls birthday party going on right behind the sushi bar, which the noise from that was cutting through my brain like nails. Other than the noise the food was tasty and I enjoyed the sushi, but the prices did not match the quality. Please do not mistake my review for saying the food was lousy, I am simply saying there are other sushi places that offer sushi that is just as good for cheaper. There is one thing that surprised me they offer little hamburgers that are incredible! I was surprised to see that on the menu and had to try them. They were so delicious and juicy. Please try this menu item. Last thing, the service, it was pretty good, when my place setting was too messy they changed it right away. Give this place a whirl, you won't be disappoointed, but be prepared for this place to get LOUD!

Great Martini Hour! Small Plates, Sassy Service, and Fun!. We've been going to Twist since the day they opened. In fact we are a fan of Prime, the sister restaurant by Tom Catherall, across the street at Lenox Square also. If it's around five, and you need to unwind, from working those credit cards, drop in here for a drink. We love those daily $5.00 Martini Specials, but just usually get our Dirty Grey's. Small plates are tasty, and if you like, you can make a meal out of them. Love the Satays, and Mussels. Staff is fun and sassy, and we don't take anything serious. We just want to unwind, and have a little fun.

Disrespectful treatment by manager, unresponsive organization. I used to be a frequent patron of Here to Serve, but no longer.

Please don't patronize Twist, Shout, Strip, Prime, Noche, Goldfish, Shout, or any other restaurant they choose to open.

After a dinner with several friends at Twist, we were asked to move to the bar area when they closed the dining area. In the process, a full drink was removed by the staff too early. Despite the amount we had spent and intended to continue to spend, the manager refused to replace it, which was his right. However, the way in which he refused was dripping with a profound disrespect and arrogance which was beyond the pale of anything I had ever seen from a restaurant. Ultimately, his treatment ruined my friend's birthday, and our night.

I wrote 3 representatives of Here To Serve a month ago to complain and they have not even bothered with the courtesy of a form letter in response. A restaurant chain that treats its patrons like this for any reason is not worthy of my business, or yours.
