I love this place!!!! I will recommend it to everyone..I booked an appointment for me and my friend..we had the 50min massage,pedi/mani and a facia and I pay is $60..you guy have to remember its a school/business so it will be a little noisy..but you get what you pay for so if u want quite go and pay the full price.lol.thats my opinion..
Such a good deal! Feel like your best again! – This is a great place to go when you want to pamper yourself but not spend hundreds. A friend of mine turned me onto it. A few of us could schedule any treatment we wanted all at once. Close to shopping and great restaurants. I have now been going there for almost a year. You won't have the same person everytime, but the students are always being supervised in a descreet fashion. The facial I had was the best. Massage was ok...kind of clinical instead of therapy..all in all great experience everytime without breaking the bank.
Be Early and don't go on lunch!! – The first time I went it was for the deep pore facial and it was wonderful. Even though I shared a room with another technician and her client it was quiet and relaxing (less the sounds of students being paged over the intercom). The techs are generally professional and not chatty and the experience was wonderful especially for the price. The facial itself was better than those I've gotten at professional spas, though as stated by everyone else, the ambience does indeed leave something to be desired.
The next time I went it was for a pedicure, and I was positive that the tech had no idea what she was doing. She was very nice and conversational, but I was not relaxed and her instructor had to be called in a few times. All-in-all, the experience was not terrible (again considering the price) and my toes turned out quite well when it was all said and done, but it took about two hours, and I was delighted that I had cancelled my subsequent manicure.
Ok, but not consistent – I've been going here for sometime now. Depending on who you get it's either a great treatment for the price or it leaves you wishing you hadn't spent the money. My biggest complaint is that they are NEVER ON TIME. My last appointment was for a 60 microderm, which I have had in the past and was wonderful. This time the girl was over 20 mins. late, rushed thorugh my appointment to catch up and I was still charged for 60 min. The location and parking aren't bad, but be prepared to wait. They are not the most organized spa out there.
Great Value for Services! – I booked an appointment for a spa mani/pedi here after hearing from a co-worker that they were very santiary and prices were very reasonable. I went there, and when I saw the setting, I was a little apprehensive. There are bare bones teaching stations, harsh lighting, and noisy intercom calls. I did notice it was crowded, and they had a lot of clients. However, once I was getting my pedicure, I was able to relax. The students are vey accomodating and very nice. They are also very particular about their work, as they constantly ask if it's to your liking and are very detailed with their work. The parrafin treatment was wonderful, along with their exfoliating scrub, which I was a little disappointed that they don't sell. The student that gave my foot massage was so wonderful I fell asleep in the chair! Also, they will inspect feet carefully and repeatedly bleach and disinfect everything. If you have any sort of infection, they will not allow you to get your nails done and will refer you to a doctor. The whole thing (spa mani and pedi) only cost me $26, a real deal. I will definitely come back here, and will try out their facials; the woman who did my nails said they are excellent, and for their prices, a real deal. Just remember when you come here, it's not for a "nice atmosphere", it's a school, and you are there just for the services and nothing else.
Bare-bones teaching facility that's high on talent, low on atmosphere. – The Scene
Don't expect soft lighting, relaxing candles or anyone clamoring to get you a cup of herbal tea. Instead, clients are greeted by fluorescent lights and a bustling front desk area. Within the front room are rows upon rows of manicure tables, with students hunched over, attending customers and practicing on fake hands. All other spa services are done in back rooms, but don't anticipate better ambience. Expect to see lots of students running around and hear an intercom system paging students and employees throughout your visit.
The school performs full salon services from facials, manicures, pedicures, waxings, makeup lessons and body wraps. The price is right, and if you get the right student, so is the experience. While they can't make up for ambience, good students are attentive and thorough. Facials are the biggest draw ranging from $35 to $45 and the mani/pedi combo for $15 is a real steal.
Great Bargain – Can be hectic but the school is a wonderful value.
