promising menu read fails to deliver. Visiting Buckhead, we chose a restaurant based on reading menus on Open Table for places within walking distance of our hotel. We should have read the city search reviews before making reservations based on what looked to be a very promising menu. As others have noted--enjoy the read but dine elsewhere.

From the moment we entered the restaurant, we should have known what was in-store and turned around. We walked in, on time for our reservation, and were asked to wait while our table was being set-up. We then saw someone carrying what turned out to be our table from somewhere in the back, and then placing it right next to the door (in a rather empty dining room), dropping a plate (which shattered!) onto a tile floor.

Our waiter, approached the table, dropped of the menu, recited the specials, and neglected to ask for a drink order. Drink order finally taken after food was ordered, and a white russian appeared in a water glass with more ice than any drink ought to have to endure.

The food, which was beautifully described on the menu was bland to inedible, and took quite some time to arrive. My husband's chicken risotto was flavorless and more hard than al dente, and my calamari was lightly floured (as requested), but also rather rubbery. My "bouillabaisse" not only contained little fish, it contained prodigious amounts of potato and tomato. The broth more closely resembled the "juice" in a can of stewed tomatoes than any kind of shellfish broth. My husband's "fillet" was thin and not of the choice or prime variety, and we mused that it might actually have been a strip-steak cut in a circle.

Itching to leave, we had quite the time of trying to get a check. We were surprised that our waiter, who should have seen the practically full plates he was clearing, interrupted our request for the check with, ?what, no dessert??

All this for a bill of about $100 just left us shaking our heads at having been had for our first night of dining in Buckhead.

yuppy singles scene. a good place to get drinks and mingle. it's a lot of fun in warm weather to chat in to courtyard. it's difficult when someone is playing right near the bar. there are always a ton of people to meet though sometimes the are snobby.

Fabulous on Saturday. This is one of my favorite bars in Atlanta--it's definitely classier than many of its Buckhead counterparts. I love it on Saturday nights, although it does get pretty crowded. However, in addition to inside bar/seating areas, and an entire upstairs, there is a large courtyard where you can order drinks and mingle under the stars...literally. The open sky and the general design of the space is really beautiful. The crowd is a sophisticated set of mid-20 to early 30-year-olds. I'd definitely recommend it as a low key alternative to Buckhead clubs or rowdy bars. My friends and I went last weekend and had a fantastic time!

No Other Place. The rest of you must be whiners because I've been going to this place since it opened and each time it has become better. A friend had his rehersal dinner there and everytime I'm up from Miami I go in. The new menu is awesome and the Sunday brunch even more spectacular. The bartender who I only see once every 6 months still remebers my drink order. Probably because I don't pretend to be anyone other than me. Once I got off the plane went to restaurant to meet friends who were severly late and the valets placed my luggage in storage while I ate dinner and waited in a sweatshirt and workout pants and it was the best service I ever received. Yes the women are fabulous and the atmosphere exciting. The place has never failed to deliver. I wish I could meet those same people at home in Miami. Worth every penny.

Great food, bad service. I went there for brunch two weeks ago and it was fabulous - huge buffet with yummy, fresh food (both cold and hot options) and attentive chef service. One of the best brunches in Atlanta by far for the food. However, service was definitely mediocre and our brunch took twice as long because the waitress was not attentive. The wait was a big surprise as she only had to serve us drinks, and for much of the time we were her only table. So go if you have time to spare!

Great Food. Food was excellent; service mediocre. Great food is always ruined by awful service, and good service can cover over any food mistake--take my advice, East Andrews: teach your servers some customer service skills.

Great place to eat in Buckhead!. This restaurant is great! They have a new chef and gourmet menu. You can go in and have a relaxed dinner in the Cafe followed by a drink at the bar or even head upstairs to catch a band. Plus, they finally added Sunday Brunch-which is awesome especially sitting in the courtyard!

NOT WORTH IT!!! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!. Some friends and I wanted to try some place new and we had been to Andrew's Upstair's before, so we liked the atmosphere. The courtyard was pretty but our waitress took a HALF HOUR to even get our drink order. We ordered an appetizer when she FINALLY dropped off our drinks. We had finished our appetizer and our martini's and beer, waited 15 minutes and she came over and took our order. We tried to waive down anyone to send over our server for 15 minutes but no one would even look our way. Every table around us got our food before us, even the ones who came 30-40 minutes after us. For $20-30 entree's, the food was nothing special. The ribeye meat was tough, the crab prawls were normal shrimp with a tiny piece of crab meat on top. NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR TIME IT TOOK AT ALL!! Don't go here, over priced, terrible service. You can get the same food an pay half! I swear. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
