What People Are Saying About Woofs On Piedmont

In Short – On first sight, Woofs on Piedmont has the feel of a generic strip-mall sports bar. The usual jerseys, banners, caps and other sports memorabilia line the walls and smoky sports action abounds. The only tale-tale sign that something is singular are the rainbow flags. At Atlanta's only gay sports bar, the staff is friendly, sports reign supreme and the drinks are cheap. Burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches and salads are affordable and involve substantially less grease than the appetizers. A dozen televisions fill the nooks and corners, broadcasting everything from football to boxing,…

Too Much Smoke and Greasy Food for me

by MSopas

I was excited to see that there is a gay mens sports bar in Atlanta. But this place was a huge disappointment. I went on a Friday night with some friends and it was not fun. The food was typical Costco type frozen stuff, just warmed up, and way too greasy. The bar also has terrible ventilation and I went home and my clothes smelled badly of cigarettes. The bartender, John, was not friendly at all and took forever to get our drinks. The crowd was fine if you like Overweight guys. Not for us. I thought sports bars might have athletes in it, I guess not. Most of the televisions were outdated TV's from the early 90's. Huge disappointment. My friends and I made this place a one time stop.

GAY MENS SPORTS BAR AND GRILL

by Atlfur2

USUALLY START OFF HERE ON FRIDAY NIGHTS WITH DINNER. GREAT BAR FOOD. SEAFOOD BASKETS ARE HUGE. THEY HAVE BIG BASKETS. FRIED GREEN BEANS AND SHRIMP ARE BEST ON THE MENU. BLACKENED FISH IS GOOD ALSO. DRINKS CAN BE HIGH BUT WHEN THE PLACE GETS CROWDED ITS A FIRE HAZARD NEEDS BETTER TRAFFIC CIRCULATION AND NO WHERE TO PARK IF MORE THAN 20 PEOPLE ARE IN THE PLACE. HARD TO TALK DUE TO THE MUSIC BLARRING BUT I GUESS ITS NOT THAT TYPE OF PLACE. HARD TO MEET PEOPLE BECAUSE MOST ARE WATCHING ONE OF THE 15? TV'S. PART OF OUR SOCIETY NOW...IF A TV'S IN THE ROOM PEOPLE FOCUS ON IT AND NOT INTERACTING WITH OTHER PEOPLE. CAN AND IS VERY CLICKIST.

  • Pros: GOOD FOOD GOOD PRICE STAFF RESPONSIVE
  • Cons: NO CIRCULATION TOO MANY TV'S AND GETS SMOKEY

Fun Sports Bar For The Boys, Great Bar Menu, But Daytime Manager Is All Drama!

by atlcuisineguy

This bar on Piedmont, is much fun, and I believe it's the only gay sports bar in the city. Drinks are good, and they have some of the best bar food in Atlanta, gay or straight. Weekend staff is fun. But if you go by during the weekday, beware of Ms. Chamber's and all her drama, from the word go. Nice guy, but what is all the drama about, for goodness sake. And he does play favorites with service. If you can get past the silly drama, you will have a good time. Cool Place!

  • Pros: Fun Sports Bar! Excellent Bar Menu!
  • Cons: Moody & Drama Filled Weekday Bartender/Manager!
