“Great atmosphere, and great food”
“went there when it first opened, and the food was GREAT.”
“have yet to have either bad service or bad food.”
“I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal for a more than reasonable price.”

Get the Atlanta ambiance right here in Norcross-friendly service, gorgeous decor and a menu full of deliciousness. If you aren't sure of what to order, you can't go wrong with the BBQ ribs, steak maui or SoCal burger!
Teamwork. My husband and I went with a friend one night. I had heard bad reviews in the past so I was a little affraid. We went in and sat down. Our waitress took our order and my friend wanted to add something after she had left. We flagged down another waiter and said " Can you let our waitress know we want to add something" He said "Sure what can we add to your order". Then another waiter saw our drinks empty and filled them. I just have to say the teamwork was incrediable. I wish everyone could work that way.
Incredible Food!. J. Alexander's has become a regular place for us. Besides the fact that the service is always superb, the food is amazing. Their Israeli Couscous and Steak Maui are my favorites - always cooked perfectly and tasing fantastic. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a great meal for a more than reasonable price.
Great eats in Gwinnett. Food and service consistently great here. Have been here more than five times and each time has been a great experience. Their specials are always pretty good as well.
Applebee's food in great atmosphere..
I went to J Alexanders for total of 2 times. I went there when it first opened, and the food was GREAT. so after about 5 years or so, I expected similar quality of food.
I guess the owner changed or something (obviously since the whole menu changed.)because the food was really......applebee-ish.
I ordered the wasabi Asian salad (?) thing, and my friend ordered a shrimp dish with coleslaw.
The chunk of tuna in my salad tasted like it sat inside a pool of sesame oil for hours. Nothing against sesame oil, just didn't want it that strong. It smothered any other flavor the meat was suppose to have. Every bite oozed out oil. On top of that, there were so much dressing on the whole thing, i blamed myself for not ordering the dressing on the side. (please remember to do so!)
My friend spend the next 30 minutes carefully stripping each shrimp with any sauce or marination. The dang thing was so salty, my tongue turned numb after few chews (Hey, at least we had constant flow of beverages to wash the thing down). the coleslaw that came with it was.....I don't know, the cooks maybe mixed the ingredients in wrong ratio or something, because it just tasted wrong.
I don't want to be mean about it, but to be honest I wasn't happy about the whole experience. (yuck. is the word to describe it.) I should have driven extra 10 minutes and gone to a tofu house instead....
I gave good tip, thinking it's not the waitress' fault that the food was punishing.
