Editorial Review for Six Feet Under - Grant Park – by Erin Behan
The Scene
Blond wood-paneled walls, hanging beer trays and a mermaid suspended over a sizeable bar work together to create that down-home fishhouse feel. Efficient servers bustle amid wooden tables and booths, adding to the convivial atmosphere that draws a lively crowd of young singles and families.
The Food
Among the many tempting appetizers are several baked oyster dishes, a plate of tangy, cornmeal-breaded fried green tomatoes and too-chewy alligator bites. The best fish here is fried. The light and flaky Georgia catfish platter comes with sides of coleslaw--delightfully enhanced by white raisins--crispy hush puppies and decent corn on the cob. The smoky sauteed rainbow trout platter with spinach and potatoes stands out as a slightly healthier alternative to the popular baskets of battered oysters, shrimp, catfish, burgers, and fish-and-chips.

My husband and I ate here on a Monday night and had a great time! The menu was right my alley..tons of things I would have liked to try. I settled on the taco combo platter with fish, shrimp and calamari. It was HUGE!!! and delicious!! My husband had the shrimp and scallops and loved his too. The refills kept coming on the tea and our waiter was really nice. The prices are a steal for the amount and quality of the food. We tried to come on a Sunday and it was PACKED with a 45 minute wait, so we tried again early on a weekday to ensure a more satisfying experience and we weren't dissapointed. Probably my favorite dining experience while in Atlanta!
Pros: Fresh seafood , great prices
Cons: Parking is at a premium and crowded on weekends

You really can't beat the burger here. The meat, the bun, and the toppings are perfect, and the homemade potato chips that come with it are a treat as well. One of the only burgers I've ever had to which I never add anything, and I wouldn't change a thing. The restaurant offers some other good dishes to try as well, such as the well-made Fried Green Tomatoes appetizer.
Pros: Burger
Cons: Parking
