What People Are Saying About Twisted Taco Midtown

The Scene – Tucked away amid the toniest clubs in Midtown, this local spot is a hive of activity throughout the week. A clutch of frat guys and their dates, bachelorette partiers, nightlife denizens and price-conscious patrons corral here for one of the 15 lethally mixed margaritas or selection of bottled and draft beers. The brick walls replete with stuffed bull's head and Old West motifs make for a festive backdrop. Snag an umbrella-covered table on the balcony or simply mingle with the crowd. – – The Draw – This celebrated nightspot is 180 degrees from its uber-hip…
Editor's Tips
- Know Before You Go:
- The bar offers a comfortable view of several TVs and the large beer selection.
- Parking:
- There are a limited number of free and metered spots and they go quickly, and illegal parking is a no-no as offenders will be towed or get the boot. There are ample pay lots and a pay garage within a short walking distance.
- The Extras:
- Check out weekly specials online like Monday night trivia and DJs on Thursday nights.
- On the Menu:
- With its separate dinner and late-night menus of treats including tacos, quesadillas, burritos and wings, this is an ideal locale to fill up for the long night ahead or refuel after an evening of club-hopping.
Loved it!

Next to El Azteca this place is another one of my favorite Mexican spots in Midtown ATL. The place has a "Texas" feel to it with plenty of HD TV's, arcade games, and a FOOSBALL TABLE!!!!
anywho....I've never had a problem here except for maybe feeling cramped sometimes when it's busy. Parking can be a pain, but they just finished building a parking lot which i tried out the other day :)
The food is always really good especially their Fried Jalapeno Pickles which everyone needs to try! Service is always friendly and very helpful. Twisted Taco I am a fan!
- Pros: foosball
- Cons: not enough space in some areas
Bad Experience
by MidtownAtlanta
I have been to the Twisted Taco in Roswell and have loved it. Great food, great atmosphere, great service, pretty much have never had any complaints. So today for lunch some coworkers and I decided to go to Twisted Taco in Midtown for lunch. This location is much smaller than the Roswell or Kennesaw location but has a great city feel to it! We were seated in this back room. It felt awkward sitting here because there were only 3 tables bunched together next to some arcade games. I honestly could have turned and started a conversation with the table right next to us. Our waitress must have been serving the whole restaurant because she was very busy; always running around and making quick orders which made me feel extremely rushed. We ordered some chips and salsa for the table (which you have to pay for... it isnt complementary like other restaurants) but it was a combination plate of 3 different salsas and chips and was pretty good. I then ordered some queso dip for myself but when it came it was soo cold. Seriously it was so cold I wondered how the cheese could still be a liquid! So I asked if they could heat it up. When it came back it was scolding hot and bubbling. Well I guess I got what I asked for, but it would have been nice if they could have found a medium in between the two temperatures. I personally ordered for my meal a regular chicken and cheese taco with NOTHING else on it. That's it! You would think that would be simple. When it came it was cheese and chicken and this spicy sauce that they drenched the taco in. It was gross, and I barely ate any of it. I didn't even take a picture of it because it looked like taco soup because there was so much spicy sauce. My coworkers meal looked really good so I took a picture of his. It looks like they give a pretty generous portion of guacamole and sour cream with the salad. He said that salad had way too much dressing on it but was wonderful and would definitely order it again. We arrived at Twisted Taco at 12:30 for lunch and didn't pay our check till 1:45. The food took FOREVER to make. I would have thought being located in the center of a city they would have a faster lunch for business people (like me) who only have a certain amount of time to eat. But no, our meal took one hour and 15 minutes! I'm hoping that my experience with Twisted Taco in Midtown was just a coincedence and that this really doesn't happen to everyone that comes through their door!
Great tacos and half-off food 4-7 pm every day

Fun vibe, good crowd, great food. Visit any of the five locations (soon to be a 6th in Tucker) for a unique sports cantina & taqueria experience.
- Pros: great variety in menu; good drink specials
- Cons: like all of Midtown, parking can be tough
This place ripps you off with their over priced drinks

I had the worst dining experience since moving to Atlanta 15 years ago in this resturant. I have tried both stores, this one and the one up on Holcomb Bridge Rd. They both consistantly bite. They actually have the nerve to charge you between $10.50 - $12.50 for a shot of Patron and then bring your food to you cold. My advice to you if you come here is to "Dine at Your Own Risk"
- Pros: Could not find any
- Cons: Food and drink prices
Sometimes the Karaoke is Great; sometimes it stinks!
by MDF2
We used to love going to karaoke upstairs at Taco on Saturday nights. Then, this DJ started working the Karaoke who was simply the most vile individual. he would talk over the songs, inserting his own un-funny commenst about anything vile and immature. He's not there every week, but when he is the crowd really dislikes him. It really takes away from a good night at Taco.
- Pros: Sometimes a great DJ
- Cons: Sometimes a crappy DJ
