The Scene
A saunter into Twisted Taco evokes the feel of an old Western saloon. The dark plank walls and long wooden bar set the scene as cowhide bar stools graze among mounted animal heads under a faux wood-beam ceiling. There's additional seating upstairs and on three outdoor patios.
The Food
The most satisfying pick, the heavily breaded, cheesy Going South jalapeno poppers, solidify Twisted Taco's place as a bar that happens to serve some Tex-Mex food. The Big Jake's pulled pork soft taco, with its smoky meat, wins out over the flavorless Alamo fish taco and the crunchy Hills Run Red beef taco, which also lacks real spice. The Professional's chorizo nachos drip with cheese, but smack too heavily of chili flavoring. Several light salads and a Wild One Caesar burrito provide respite from the heavier items on the menu.

My friends and I had a great time here last weekend. The music was great and so was the crowd. One thing that kind of freaked us out though was the older male bartender that was working upstairs on Saturday. He was fine at first, but as the night went on and after I saw him take a few shots he started hitting on my friend (a male) and being really aggressive, telling him what he wanted to do to him, etc (we are all straight) which was a little awkward, but we still managed to have a great time. I just hope the floor never caves in up there.

Twisted Taco is one of my favorite spots in Atlanta. I have been there to eat, drink, dance and to meet guys! This is truly a great establishment and services many purposes. It will always be one of my favorite places to meet good looking, single men in their late 20's early 30's.
