These guys are great. They work with you to design an ever-changing program to meet your needs and goals. All ages, all skill levels. They have helped me to strenghen my core so that I am less likely to strain my back which is my Achiles heal and to increase and maintain my physical fitness.

In the 1.5 years I have worked out with the trainers at the Fitness Firm, I have gotten better results, physically, than with any previous training/workout regimen in my life. Functional core training is a highly advanced process, in my opinion. I find that I have better posture, use better form when lifting things, have more definition, and the best thing is that I have lost inches off my waistline (hopefully never to return). The atmosphere at the studio is jovial and the clientele is very friendly. The trainers are very knowledgeable and supportive - they can help you learn to perform better at whatever activity you enjoy from tennis to golf to cycling. When I think about trainers I had in the past standing over me, barking out reps, I just laugh now. I highly recommend the Fitness Firm if you want to get results!

The "functional training" that Stephen does makes so much more sense than what I used to do at the gym (weight machines). He is very knowledgeable and used that knowledge, factoring in my specific situation, to customize a workout that's just right for me. He's also very encouraging and nonjudgemental - which I find refreshing. The atmosphere at the studio is relaxed and actually fun. I have a bad knee from an old injury. He is very careful about anything that would put stress on my knee and has me do certain exercises that actually are helping to stabilize my knee and improve my flexibility and mobility. I highly recommend Stephen to anyone - whether already in good shape or not!
- Pros: no machines and a trainer who actually knows what he's doing (instead of someone who's only skill is counting to 10 over and over)
