WORST MEXICAN FOOD EVER!!!!!!! – This place used to have decent food but last night our food was terrible! The food was tasteless and the cheese was gummy! The chicken was dry and the flour tortillas were charred.....not sure what happened to this place. Maybe that is why there were plenty of tables to be had on a Saturday night:-(
TACO BELL NEXT DOOR? – Is it the best Mexican in Atlanta? No, but it is a perfect neighborhood restaurant - good food, attentive wait staff, reasonably priced drinks. I LOVE its chicken soup - there's no better bargain in town - the cup is huge, the bowl is difficult to finish. Tell you what? Why DON'T you go to the Taco Bell next door - they seem more your type, a little snotty since they'll tow your car if you park there to go to TJs... Please go visit your own neighborhood restaurants and leave this restaurant to the East Cobb natives..
Go to taco bell next door – I am picky when it comes to my mexican food (I grew up in New Mexico), so its not surprising when I disagree with others about mexican food. It boggles my mind, however, that people give this place good reviews. The food is bad. Really bad. The chile relleno I had last night was the worst relleno I have ever had. The enchiladas werent much better. They had no flavor. The chips were stale and the salsa tasted like ketchup mixed with water and hot sauce.
At least my beer was cold.
Run of the mill. – The food here is average, for prices that are to high for the quality in my opinion. They should not be allowed to charge that much for oily, cheese covered (to hid the true flavor) mess that they serve. I doubt that unless dragged there , I will darken their door again, because there are 20-30 places just like it in Atlanta. If you are looking for average, run of the mill, restraunt chain quality food, then go a head and go here, but I won't again.
Monster margaritas and Mexican specialties take this fun-loving chain beyond burritoville. – In Short
A handful of locations outside the perimeter adds south-of-the-border flavor to the 'burbs. Tijuana Joe's sizeable menu features more than just a taste of Mexico. You'll find the basics like nachos, quesadillas, tacos, enchiladas and burritos. But there's also more exotic specialties like stuffed chile poblanos and deep fried chimichangas. A large patio makes a nice backdrop for sipping margaritas, which come in a variety of sizes and flavors.
Latin cousine at it's Best!! – I love TJs margaritas and Churrasco which is the their tasty rib-eye with a great side of Chimichurri. Haven't found this anywhere esle. It's a must try. The margaritas are also some of the best I've had(and I've had my share and then some..) The staff is cool and the atmosphere is laid back.
Cold AND Good – This place has the best margaritas in town. I live on another side of town but my girlfriends and I drive here just for those great margaritas and cheese dip.
And they're smart - using the patio in the winter, too, by walling in the sides with clear glass so it still feels like you're on a patio even if it's 40 degrees outside!
