i have a few things to say.. The 26 postures Bikram has copyrighted have been around long before he has. I respect him for coming up with the sequence, but the yogi Bikram has become a greedy business man. I have heard that this studio is gonna seperate from Bikram, and it would be the best thing they ever did. The teachers here are great, so great, they should not associate themselves with such a jerk. Forget the "script", and teach from experience for god's sake.
Great workout - terrible experience. I love the workout and feel great after but the style of teaching makes me tense. The instructor was knowledgeable but so rude before and during class.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Sweat it off as Bikram yoga turns up the heat. Classes are offered seven days a week.
Don't let the heat scare you!. When I first walked into the room the heat was almost overwhelming. I'm thinking 'HOW am I going to do this??" but it's surprisingly comfortable when you begin the poses. This class is always the same and is great for beginners as well as experts. The instructors are incredibly helpful, nothing is embarrasing because no one is looking at you! They ask you to concetrate on yourself. Check it out, you'll leave feeling soothed.
Some Like It Hot. This type of yoga is an amazing workout. Its a series of 26 postures, so each class is exactly the same. Some people prefer variety, but the benefits are that you can miss a class and not fall behind and you can really perfect each pose. The room is hot (at least 90 degrees) so plan on sweating.
