Recently tried this sushi restaurant on Mill Street. Must say I only have one word! Disgusting! I saw the sushi chef standing outside before we walked in smoking a cigarette. two minutes later he was inside preparing our food without the mandatory hand wash!!!! the wait staff was short and rude and we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated with no apology. the prices were ridiculous for what we ordered. We are never going back.
Good food, bad service!. Terrible service!!! The food wasn't bad, but the people there were so rude. It's a dollar sushi, but you have to order $6 minimum ( which is fine). My friend who had never had sushi before wanted to share a plate with someone so she could try it and decide if she wanted to order her own. They said, NO! you can't do that. We didn't want to make a fuss so we ordered the food. She didn't like it, so the plate was full and she wanted to take the sushi home. She didn't eat the sushi and she was going to pay for it. The once again said, "NO!" You cannot take food you paid for home (keep in mind it's NOT a buffet). Then once again we didn't want to make a fuss so we paid and left. As we were talking outside they chased us down and said we didn't pay. So we (party of 8) all went back inside with our receipts. They couldn't tell us what item was "unpaid" but demanded money. We said, "OK, print out and itemized statement and we'll compare it to out receipts and figure it out." They said no! In the end they couldn't specify what was unpaid for, the manager wasn't there, and they were rude. I will never go back there again!
Love their Sushi. Every time I come eat here, whether its dinner or lunch, the service is exceptional and the food is delicious. They have very fresh fish at great price and constantly come up with "new" rolls. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for great sushi and thai food at a great price!
Great Thai. We always go here if we are craving Thai food. My fiancee loves the Drunken noodles and I always get the Panang curry. We also love the Nam Tok. Would totally recommend this place for Thai food.
Thaicoon & Sushi Bar. Usually I don't write reviews but seriously, the best sushi I have eaten so far!
Great place to Thai one on!.
I love this place. It's my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, and is a favorite meeting spot for business lunches. The staff is great and Simon (great waiter) always remembers my name!
Highly recommend it!
Example: great place for good bread. This is a really wonderful restaurant. My initial interest was the clever name and convenient, however off the beaten path, location. After my first bite of sashimi I knew I had found a jewel. With a softly lit, comfortable ambiance and quick, pleasant service this restaurant is sure to please. I especially suggest the Sushi and Sashimi Boat Dinner for Two as it is a great deal and allows you to enjoy a wide variety of foods. My favorite waitress, May, is almost always there and simply one of my very favorite waitresses in the city. Even on evenings that I am not particularly in the mood for sushi I'll come in to see her. She has memorized my tastes and always has my drink in hand when she realizes I'm at her table. She even remembers most of my friend's preferences. All around this is a grand restaurant and you have every reason to go check it out.
Best Sushi Ever. I work about a half of a mile from Thaicoon, and I tell ya--I visit this place at least twice per week for lunch. The sushi is great and the servers are the friendliest ever! They suggest new dishes as well as special chef rolls (sushi neophytes, try the teriyaki salmon roll--to die for!). Everything from the miso soup to the fried icecream is simply delicious. I have never had one sushi roll at this place that I didn't enjoy--believe me, I've tried them ALL! It's a great way to eat tasty and healthy food. I have converted about ten of my coworkers into sushi-holics by bringing them to Thaicoon. Enjoy and eat up!
Wonderful Neighborhood Restaurant!.
I try not to always order the same entree, everythig is delicious!
Never rushed & I look forward to the next time I return.
Bring friends from outside the neighborhood, they will love it too.
Most Authentic Thai food in ATL. Best Thai food in ATL. They have great service and it is very authentic. Monday and Tuesdays are good if you like sushi since they have a one dollar menu. Sunday is great if you like authentic Thai food since they being out their specials that day. I have been to Thailand and I can tell you that this place is the closes to the real thing that you can get.
