Shell (Real Check Cashing Servise).
Good for Gas, not for paying bills.
I live close to Real Check Cashing in Riverdale, and often stop by to get money orders. Recently I paid my internet bill there and I have to say that the service was terrible. At first, I was told that it would take up to 48 hours for the payment to post. 72 hours later the payment still hadn't posted and the money was no where to be found.
I went back to Real Check Cashing and demanded they refund my payment, and I would just pay it at the store directly, I even told them I would pay any fees I needed to. The manager said that the payments take a while to post and then tried to tell me that Saturday was a holiday- it wasn't- he then laughed at me and said that it could take up to 14 days for the payment to post. 14 days!?
He refused to refund my money even though it clearly states that you can get a refund on the back of the receipt you just have to pay a fee. He told me they didn't have the money anymore.
I tried to call the help number on the back of the receipt and all I got was some woman's personal mailbox, telling me to leave a message.
I managed to contact my service provider and get things cleared up but still to this date my payment has yet to post.
The sum of the story is, don't take your money to one of these third party bill payment places, take it right to the store or pay online.
