Owner Sonny Tillman has been serving the same Southern barbecue and fixings since 1968. A common roadside stop, Sonny's offers low prices and barbecue; roomy booths, wagon-wheel chandeliers and homey craft art are the standard dining room decor. House barbecue sauce, available sweet, regular or hot, spices up large helpings of smoked beef, pork, chicken, turkey and ribs. Sides like fresh fried okra, onion rings and barbecue beans complement the entrees.

Dry meat. Not good at all as compared to other's. Sonny's to me has very dry meats. They use frozen french fries and canned veggies here. I do not see what the big deal about this place is, because I just do not like it at all.

Over Rated. Although I've never had bad bar-bee-que, Sonny's comes real close. With the other bar-bee-que place across the street, I wonder how they stay open?
