Henry's is great! Try the Louisiana Ooh La La, it is absolutely incredible. Definitely worth a drive if you don't live in Acworth.

We've been going to Henry's since shortly after it opened, back when Henry, his wife, and his kids (then very little) practically lived in the place. Henry's quickly garnered a following. (It's not uncommon to see license plates from 10 or more counties parked up and down the street.) Food is very good and service quick and friendly. Despite having to wait on weekend nights for a table, once seated, diners never feel pressured to finish up and leave. Henry, whose chef's attire gets wilder by the week, personally greets guests at every table with his trademark opening line, "Welcome to my home!" and keeps his wait staff hopping. (I hear that he's a perfectionist both in the kitchen and out front; his young waiters know that he will tolerate nothing less than their best.) Portions are above average and guests can make substitutions without getting annoyed looks from the wait staff: For example, for one of the pasta dishes,I always substitute linguini for the angel hair pasta, which can be overcooked and sticky in any restaurant. One evening, my husband and and I, as well as two other couples, made a meal of appetizers. We ordered two of each, sat back with our generous drinks, and enjoyed a tasty variety. I've never had "room" for dessert at Henry's, but my husband and our friends all rave about them, as the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

I agree, the food isn't the best. Although, my family loves the Ohh La La. I wish the shrimp and grits were better and then we would all be happy. The grits are gritty (uncooked and not creamy) and the shrimp also appear to be uncooked. The atmosphere is nice and it's a good place to go with friends. Henry is pretty nice too, in his crazy chef pants. It's close to home and I'm sure I'll go back again. I have to get my bread pudding fix and they have the best. Tell them to put lots of the sauce on it and you better go ahead and order the large. I've always had good service.
