I'll be back.
I loved the Chicken Korma with rice and naan--the serving was generous enough for two and a very reasonable price.
Haveli's is pleasant and quiet, where you can have a conversation with your dining partner without lip reading or yelling.
horrible from the start. as we were walking in, my husband and i both had a feeling we should walk right out, but still we went in and sat down. the restaurant was empty but the server found the one seat that was torn for us to sit in. that place was stuffy and stale. the food was horrible. we over heard the server and possibly owner talking and they were saying they had nothing better to do, so they decided to open this restuarant..... we should have left then and there.. my husband ordered chicken and i the saag paneer...both tasted like they were leftovers, just reheated. was horrible. horrible.
OK food but RUDE and AWFUL service!. I took my gf there last night - we got there at 8.15pm, there were 2 other couples there also finishing up their meal. I really like their Chicken Maghni, but their appetizers or Naan's are nothing to rave about. So at one point we were the only people there at that time and this place advertises opening hours until 10pm/10.30pm on sunday nights. Right before 9pm they decide to cut off the music completely and so for good 15 mins there was no music and the waiter (as unattentive as he had been the whole night) basically tried to hurry us out of there as he could. So all in all the service there is really rude - I regretted leaving them tips - they deserved a big zero ($0) - especially after charging us extra for one portion of Rice! I might consider this place for pickup only - but to dine in there - NEVER AGAIN!
I always thought it was pretty good. I always liked the food at this restaurant. I'm not Indian so I have no clue as to what anything was that I was eating (don't know the names of the dishes) but I thought they were tasty. I usually get the chicken with the creamy spinach (don't know what it's called) and I love the naan bread. The only thing that I thought was a little different from other Indian restaurants was the mango chutney - it was spicy and salty rather than sweet. Maybe there's different kinds - I don't know. I have been here 3 times and someday I will go back unless I find a better one to go to.
be careful all indian restaurants are rated 4 or more on 5.
There is no Indian restaurant that does not have a 4 / 4.5 star review. Pl be careful. We are an unethical breed of people and inflate our ratings. Least realising that all indian restaurants end up being 4.5 on 5. Pl use word of mouth and personal discretion to visit all of these restaurants.
I wish health and happiness in yr experimentation with food.
Best Indian food around. This is a great little family owned Indian restaurant. A little out of the way, but definitely worth the drive. I've only been here once, but I'd go back. The appetizer sampler is amazing, lots of crispy savory fried veggies, meat and chicken pieces, samosas and papadums. We especially enjoyed the mixed tandoori sizzler- chicken, fish, shrimp, and two kinds of lamb. Their raita and fresh garlic naan was yummy too. My only complaint was the masala chai, it could have used a bit more spice, a little on the bland side. But the mango kulfi for dessert more than made up for it. Give this place a try, it's a great value for the money.
Best Vindaloo in town!. The chicken vindaloo is awesome. I ask them to make it as hot as possible and it's great. The garlic nan is great as well. I've only had the vindaloo dishes but they are the best I've ever had! - Besides my own.
Best Indian Food In Atlanta!!!. I have been going to Havelis since I was a child. The food is excellent. The service could be better, but it is the best Indian food in Atlanta. Do not make the mistake of going to the one in downtown Atlanta, it is horrible. Only go to the one in Marietta.
Best Dal Lentils.
Found a live raoch in our guest's rolled up napkin (to our chagrin) but that could happen anywhere... it provided authenticity to the cuisine. I've been to Agra India and endured similar, so they have gone out of their way at Haveli to recreate the experience.
All kidding aside, Haveli has the best Dal lentils I've had anywhere and their nan bread is freshly cooked and excellent. Everything I've had there is as good as I've had in the finest hotels in India.
A disaster!. Both food and service severally lacking. Food quality was poor as was authentic Indian taste. Service was equally as bad. Atmosphere not great either. Don't waste your time or money.
