WALK AWAY. I visited this place because I purchased a deal via Living Social... Now I regret it. Other then for the location, there is nothing positive to say about this place. The food was horrible. Stay away and spend your $ elsewhere.
Nasty. We went to Chips for so called Southern Cookin'. The food was greasy and stale. The waitress did the best she could. I felt sorry for her. They had a manager at one time, but no more. Don't waste your time or money. Very disappointing.
call the health inspector. i went in after a hard days work, just wanted a good home cooked meal. and my goodness what i saw really turned my darn stomach, they had a spanish cook 1st of all how southern is that 2nd i watched him take out the garbage in the kitchen then saw him go straight to the fryer where my pork chops were frying and take the basket out to let the grease drain not only did he not wash his nasty hands after taking the trash out he didnt even try to put no gloves on so i asked the cashier what the hell was that they argued up and down he washed his hands im standing there watching him and he never washed his hands so i was like give me my money back the cashier was like i will personally cook it myself i was like keep the door open so i can watch you and he did he washed his hands and put on gloves and that was the last time i ate there the chops were good though dang they had to go mess it up
Horrible Customer Service. I just visited since I had a $5 off coupon from the Entertainment Guide. I offered the information that I was trying the restaurant with my coupon. I was going to order a 4 veggie plate ($6.49) and a meat and 2 veggie plate ($7.49). I started to order the baked chicken as the meat (the only healthy option). I was told by what appeared to be the manager (white man with grey hair) that he was running out of baked chicken and I needed to choose something else. It was not that he was out of baked chicken just that I could not have his limited supply. There was nothing else on the menu that would fit into our health mindful diet. It is obvious that since I had a coupon I was being told no. I decided not to order anything and will not visit this place again. Moral of the story, don't advertise with coupons if you will not honor them. Stay away from this lack of customer service establishment.
HUH? ARE YOU SERIOUS?. What in the world are these guys thinking? I ordered a plate of food being 1 piece of chicken and two veggies. The portions are what you may expect at a elementary school cafeteria. Upon the plate coming to the table I commented on the amount of food. I ordered another piece of chicken which came out in the amount of $4.20 I think it was. Upon finishing my meal I was delivered a $14 and chage check for half of a Applebees plate which I normally barely finish or take some home. Tip and all I paid $18.00. It was not the waitress fault, but it's hard to justify a tip under these terrible conditions. We have since gone to the place across the street, a country buffet and left full tip and all for $8.50. Not Satisfied at all!!!!!
mixed greens. When a menu states that a salad comes on "mixed greens", and the name of the restaurant is Veggies To Go, I would expect good fresh mixed greens. What I got instead was a pile of iceberg lettuce. I even specifically asked "are you sure this actually comes on mixed greens?" I was assured the salad came on mixed greens. I don't eat iceberg lettuce, and would have never paid $5.99 for a spoonfull of chicken on a giant head of iceberg lettuce. Let's get real with the menu!
Good Southern Food. The sides are what makes this place. The main entrees leave a little to be desired, but are above average for the most part. It's expensive for what you get. $7 for 4 vegetables is a little much. Either lower the price or increase the portions. It's a good place and worth a try. A nice change of pace from your typical restaurant circuit.
