“The business lunch is amazing, hummus, falafel, pita, potatoes, salad, basically everything on the menu is cooked and served to perfection.”
“Mediterranean Grill is a great neighborhood place to eat.”
“The cook and the other staff are very nice and courteous.”
“We were looking forward to a great meal, at a reasonable price based on most of the other reviews.”
“I've only had mediterranean food at two other places (both in oregon), so i definitely no expert, but Mediterranean Grill is a great find for quick, cheap eats.”
Great hummus, friendly service, gyro meat not so much.
We were looking forward to a great meal, at a reasonable price based on most of the other reviews. We actually went to the newest location at Monroe Drive in Midtown (which as of December 2006 does not have it's own listing). The restaurant is certainly appealing in appearance and staff.
Lately my girlfriend April has been searching for the best gyro. One of the main requirements is that the meat be cut directly from the rotisserie of lamb. The listing for Mediterranean Grill indicated that the ingredients were all fresh. Well the meat may have been fresh, but it was just missing something...flavor. Yes, I am sorry to say, the meat was tender, warm, but it just lacked flavor.
The hummus was delicious, as was the Greek salad. We would probably return to try other items on the menu.
great value, great food. highly recommended for a casual meal. chicken plate or kabob plate is excellent. greek salad and all the appetizers are good too. Awesome value, especially for emory students who get a free drink. Food comes out quick, they do the clean up...overal enjoyable experience.
Fabulous value!. I ordered from the Midtown location through Zifty and loved it! One of the best values in Midtown without a doubt. So glad they are here!
ok sandwiches. do not understand the raves.this is ok quality for the prices, but not top notch authentic meditteranean like I prefer.Went after reading the other reviews and what a letdown. Maybe it is for students on a budget, but found the quality to be lackign and most dishes greasy. way too much grease on the shwarma, and badly spiced. hard, falafel.guess the lunch buffet crowd likes the lunch, bnut I was looking for quality. would not return. better choices around
Awesome Falafel. This place is mind blowing. The food is so good I cannot tell you. I am a vegetarian and still recoomend this place, so imagine how good it will be for all you meat lovers. The humus.....yum yum. Very well priced and the manager is so welcoming and cool. He remembered us from 10 days back. I totally love this place.
Scrumptious!. This is the best place to get a tasty mediterranean meal without having to suffer a formal dining environment. The food is always fresh and consistently delicious! Try the lamb kabobs and hummus!
Unassuming Mediterranean grill turns out terrific Middle Eastern favorites..
The Scene
Mediterranean Grill has the humble look of a fast-food joint: gumball machines, laminated tables, a prominent soda machine and lots of orange, red and yellow accents. There's no table service. You order at the counter, take a seat and wait until your number is called to pick up your food. But that's where the similarities end. The Turkish/Arabic chef and owner doesn't allow any canned or frozen food in his restaurant--everything is made fresh, from scratch.
The Food
Savor the thrill of the grill--and just about everything else. Beef kabobs are filet mignon and chicken kebobs are breast meat--both are tender and delicious. Don't miss the Combination Feast, with kufta kabobs, ground sirloin seasoned with herbs and spices. Smoky baba ganouj (eggplant dip) is addictive, as is fetoush aalad, a garden salad tossed with toasted pita chips. Tabouli could use a squeeze more lemon and olive oil.
Great stuff!. This place is awesome! Definitely some of the best gyros in town are served here, and they're always nice about giving me some extra tahina sauce for my falafel. Plus, as an Emory student, it was really convenient for me to just walk up the road to eat there (before I finally got my car down here senior year). Totally recommended for everyone!!
User review by piccaretta. Great food, service and price. The food is consistently prepared well and in a timely manner. A pita fish sandwich would be a great addition to the menu.
HIGHLY recomend.
This restaraunt has a true family atmosphere, excellent staff, a great greek salad, a great Hummus and Kabob.
The food is reasonably priced and is extremely flavorable.
I HIGHLY recomend this place to anyone.
