nice doctor, marginal service. Dr Bray seems kind and competent, and I like the cat!

The need for frequent office visits for BP medication seems excessive, as I monitor my BP regularly and know when something is awry. It feels more like the office needs the billing, and I have a high copay.

Followup is haphazard - it can take days to get a reply, and then action on the request can take a few more days. The office manager nearly yelled at me once, saying a prescription was mailed on a certain date. When it finally arrived, it was postmarked a week later. <sigh>

Dr. Brays practice is horrible and is completely incompetent. I rely on my medicine everyday to keep me alive, and her office neglected to write or call in my life-depending / life-saving prescription. Dr. Brays practice is horrible and is completely incompetent. I rely on my medicine everyday to keep me alive, and her office neglected to write or call in my life-depending / life-saving prescription. On the day I needed the medicine I went into the office in person and requested them to call in the prescrip. They did not do it that day, and I had explained it was life threatening. Nor did they call it in the next day. THIS PLACE F0CKING SUX @SS they deserve to get shut down!

And I have been going there for 10 years and have never seen Dr. Bray. She is the ONLY Dr. on staff...THIS PLACE SUCKSS!

Catherine Bray. I was just looking up Dr. Brays phone number (because I had input it incorrectly in my new phone) and was astounded to see bad reviews on the this site for her office. My question would be: If you are a woman, and have you ever felt while you were at the doctors office that you were being marginalized, or that you were not being taken seriously? I have felt that way many times.

I remember my husband and I going to a male doctor with the same exact symptoms and he was given a full work up and I was given the brush off!! Come to dfind out I was the one with the medical problem not him! There is something to be said about a female doctor and a medical professional that actually listens to you! If you have ever experienced sexism in the medical field I want to assure you that this will not happen with Dr. Bray.

Those people above that got there feelings hurt by the receptionist better stay away from the DMV and trying to return a piece of merchandise without a receipt!

When I am sick or need care I dont seek out the place with the best receptionist, I seek out the place with the best doctor. Which is what you have @ Dr. Brays.

Wonderful practice. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this practice. True, i have never, ever seen Dr. Bray. My doctor, i guess i should say nurse practitioner, John Anderson is who i see. He is awesome and i never would have known he was not a doctor had he not told me. He does the same things a doctor does anyway so it makes no difference to me. Additionally, the rest of the staff is very polite and friendly and i've never had to wait in the waiting lounge for any considerable length of time either. The office is very nice, homey, and comfortable and it has nice antiques to look at. Also, i LOVE the fact that a cat is allowed to roam the office and keep people company. If you are looking for a good doctor, go to Dr. Bray's office. Even if you dont or never see Dr. Bray go there anyway. The nurse practioners are very skilled, professional and polite. Another thing, when i have called to get a prescription refilled or make an appointment the people that answer the phone have been very polite. Pay absolutely no attention to the negative reviews for this practice. They are unfair and they obviously have no clue about what nurse practioners do.

Worst doctor's office I have ever visited.. I wish there were fewer than one star on the rating scale so I could tell potential patients just how lowly I esteem this practice. After I left, I looked up the state board of medicine and learned that Bray was on probation(she since is off). It is no wonder. Keep looking for another doctor; don't go to this place. Surely the five-star ratings come from friends and family.

The office is the most unprofessional -- of any kind -- I've ever visited. It's dirty, and cats roam the office and are even allowed back into the exam areas. (What about people who have cat allergies, or those who are afraid of cats? Seems a doctor would be aware of the high incidence of cat allergies and be sensitive to that). There's a cavalier, lax attitude at this place that is shocking. I was told that a PA would see me, as Dr. Bray is unavailable most of the time. I did not see a PA; I saw a nurse practitioner The office person said, "same thing." No, it's not -- they are licensed differently, trained differently. I don't want to see a nurse for my annual exam. In a metro area like Atlanta, why would a person settle for a nurse practitioner or PA for a first visit anyway? If I lived in the remote areas of Appalachia, maybe I'd be satisfied seeing the PA or NP for the first time -- but not in Atlanta. I expected Dr. Bray to at least come in and introduce herself, as this was my first (and last ) visit, but she was absent. I was appalled. And of course I was charged as if I had seen a doctor. And the wait to see the nurse was close to two hours!

I wouldn't take my sick cat to this place.

I won't be back--too much emphasis on rates rather than care. I've been going to John, the PA, for years and find his bedside manner and care unmatched, but after my last visit I won't be back. I don't object to seeing a PA over the doctor, per se, but I don't think I should pay Doctor rates and receive PA care.

My last visit (for the flu) resulted in a $300 charge, and yes, I have insurance. There was a charge for an office visit, a separate charge for taking my bld. pressure, and finally a charge for "emergency care" (none was rendered.) There were other line items I can't recall that totaled the $300.

I spent ten minutes with a PA or nurse: they take my bld. pressure, temperature, weight, and listen to my breathing and issue a prescription and send me on my way, with a charge that's risen threefold since my last visit. I don't appreciate being gouged, particularly by professionals you're supposed to have a lasting relationship with. I also ought to occasionally see the doctor I'm paying. It suddenly occurred to me after this episode that I don't know what she looks like.

John--you do great work, and Catherine I wish you the best of luck in your practice.

Dr. Bray and staff are GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1. Don't listen to the NEGATIVE reviews!!! Try it for yourself. I have been going to Dr. Bray's office for over 8 years and wouldn't go anywhere else. I LOVE Dr. Bray, the Nurse Practioner(John) and all of the staff. Everyone is great!!! I personally LOVE seeing the nurse practioner (John) versus Dr. Bray. We have a GREAT relationship. He cares so much about his patients and truly is a wonderful guy!! Dr. Bray is great as well. I've seen her numerous times, but I just bonded more with the nurse practioner (John). My husband is the opposite. He prefers seeing Dr. Bray. The office is filled with antiques and old medicine bottles that were a interest to me as well as my eight year old son. He had many questions upon seeing all of the old medicine bottles, instruments, etc. My three year old daughter gets a kick out of sitting in an antique school desk when we visit. The staff is wonderful and I've never been mistreated or felt that the staff wasn't concern with my needs. They always address all concerns when I've phoned in or came in to the doctor's office. Again I will say I LOVE this office and staff. They make you fill like family..

Dr. Bray's Office Visits. I am totally shock of the negative remarks of Dr. Bray's office. I have been going to her office for the past 3 years and have never encounter anything negative. The receptionist does her job well and will not allow people to run over her. An office must have rules and you must obey them! The cat, love the aviance, the antiques, everything. I felt at home, my mom was an herbalogist, so her waiting room is unique! I always got to see Dr. Bray. You must request to have her in your visit, come now, she's a busy woman!!! The staff has always treated me with respect to privacy and courtesy! I wouldn't go anywhere else! I have been to many a doctor here in the Atlanta area and have not come to finding anyone that treats you so well and takes the time to listen to you. You are not rushed in or rushed through your appointment. Keep up the great work Dr. Bray and your staff!

We love this office!. When my husband looked Dr. Bray's office phone number up on line because he was sick, we were both shocked to see the negative remarks about Dr. Bray's practice.

We have always been exceptionally well taken care of there. Any one who knows Dr. Bray (and her long time staff), knows how compassionate she is, and I have never had any situations with staff in a negative manner either. I think people rarely take the time to log a positive review of a business. When one is displeased, it is easy to pick anything apart, and bring to light our disappointment and vent anomymously on the internet.

Dr Bray's office is unique and may not be for everyone, but they are the one for MY family!

Thank you Dr. Bray and Staff!

Never had a problem. I have been to Dr. Brays for a 4-5 years. I am shocked to see these reviews because I never experienced anything similar to these "cons". I am not saying these people didn't have bad experiences here, but for me I have had zero problems, friendly receptionist, and short waits. I have never seen Dr. Bray but who the hell cares?? The people there are qualified well enough to handle your sickness I promise you that.. and there is a comfortable feeling I got from the place. It just seems only the people that had bad experiences have rated this place which is completely underrated.
