The river trail to the left of the parking lot leads to a great lunch/photography spot in the shade. Be aware that swimming isn't allowed even though there's a rope swing on the opposite side of the river. The police do enforce this rule. I wouldn't advise letting your two year old play in fast moving water with poisonous snakes and slippery rocks even if you don't end up getting ticketed. Don't know how clean the water is either. The creek loop is great for those who don't want to be around other people's screeching children. It is very much for athletes (lots of roots and rocks to trip on and very steep paths) and is not Grandma accessible.
Pros: beautiful, secluded, not many people on the trails
Cons: no bathroom, parking lot where there used to be forest/trails, much more family (stroller) friendly than I'd like

This is a great place! There is a walking trail to the left that leads to a beautiful water/rock spring with small waterfalls and tons of calm pools to play in barefoot. Please don't come here and make it too crowded for me :-) If I'm not there, come and have fun!
