The Scene – Located between an abandoned movie theater and a boating store, Hot Wok is chile manna for many Atlantans. The experience starts in the parking lot where the smell of spice and garlic lures diners in. With its spice-colored walls and mock thatched roofs, the interior is reminiscent of the "Miss Saigon" set. A large mural depicting a vegetable garden and villagers carrying baskets of produce adds to the colorful decor. – – The Food – The Chinese menu may look familiar, but everything here is cooked with a fiery Indian flair. Manchow soup is hot and sour…
its the best place for indo-chinese food
by dharsh at Citysearch
Hot walk is the best indo-chinese restaurant i have seen ever. not only me but my whole family and my all friends like its food. I don' know why some people wrote bad about the restaurant, may be they don't like spice food. but the fact is this is how indo-chinese taste is.
I feel so bad that they close their one branch in illinois, chicago, on golf road. That was the only restaurant in which we like to have our taste. hot'walk 's taste can't be found anywhere. i have been to other chinese restaurant also, but i don't like their food.
PLZ. OPEN HOT WALK IN CHICAGO.... WE DYING TO HAVE ITS TASTY FOOD.....
- Pros: i got indian- chinese taste in america , i love it so much
- Cons: they hv limited their stores, plz. open in illinois, chicago

seriously, u will be totally disappointed if u eat here.
my best friend and i ate at hot wok on sat evening. right when we sat down, we saw a "blattaria" (this website filters the commonly known word out) crawling on the wall. when we told the lady at the front desk, she said the pest control was coming in on mon. (yeah right!) ive heard from other ppl that they have "blattaria". we wanted to see for ourselves and try the food. i ordered water w/o ice and their was little black particles floating. my friend ordered fresh lemonade. it was too sugary and watered down-gross! for appetizer, we ordered hot garlic wonton. when we recieved it, it was FLAMING, spicy. i mean, my lips and upper mouth were numb and my eyes watered. my friend who has a very high tolerency of spicy foods, even had tears in his eyes and started to sweat. i asked the waiter for another order of hot garlic wonton and stressed that the first one was EXTREMELY spicy and wanted it to be mild. when the waiter came out with our 2nd order, we gave the 1st garlic wonton (the full dish) back to him, and the 2nd one was just as spicy. so we asked for our bill and went to the cashier. our waiter charged us for 2 orders of hot garlic wonton. i told the (very unfriendly and RUDE) cashier the story and how we wanted to change it out. she started to argue with me saying "but u ordered BOTH of the hot garlic wontons". i told her im not paying for the extra dish and finally with an attitude/grudge she took it off the bill. clearly, i did not leave tip, because i felt that it was not necessary the service was extremely crappy, one waiter for the whole restaurant and they did not care at all. as we were about to walk out the door, she looked at the receipt and said "are you really not leaving tip?" with the biggest attitude ever! and i told her yeah the service was very bad. and she told me "u people are so rude! never come back here." i told her ok and walked out. clearly, my friend and i will never go back.
- Cons: Run-down building, Blattaria, horrible/rude service, food WAY TOO spicy even when asked for mild.
Don't go to this place... go somewhere else or eat milk and cereal but dont go there.....

I had to give this a one star since half or none is not an option! This place is a mess.
We recently moved back to Atlanta. My husband and I went there after about 8 yrs, Hoping to get the same service when this place opened for the first time. They sat us in the corner by the rest-rooms so we requested if we can get a table by the window, which was given to us with an attitude.
While sitting there waiting for our drinks, we watch a baby from the Blattaria family (this thing won't let me write the actual word) walking on the table next to ours, just then our server came back with our cokes. We mentioned this to them and I am not kidding this was this reply. " What? Oh really? oh, oh wow, let me see, well i dont see it now, this is a old building we get them time to time." My hubby and I were flabbergasted and just looked at each, and we had to laugh. we paid for our cokes and we were out of there. While we were walking out the guy had the guts to tell us that we shouldn't have sat there if we wanted to leave to begin with, that table could have gone to someone else. When we were walking out two other couples also walked out.
Needless to say seriously dont go there. The quality has gone down, they dont care much for the customer or keeping the place clean, or the food that they serve. Going out to eat at Hot Wok totally defeats the whole purpose of going out to eat.
- Pros: None
- Cons: everything
