A Virginia Highland tapas mainstay with $2 tacos on Mondays and lively patio in the rear.

Best tapas in town!. Love this place - great place to grab a drink on a Friday night - can get crowded tho - so beware if you go after 9! Also the menu has changed a bit - one of my fav. dishes was removed - was disappointed, however everything on the menu is delicious!

Extremely Rude Hostess, Bad Service. My boyfriend and I ate here with my boyfriend's boss and his wife on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. We arrived around 7:30 and requested a table outside. There were no tables available outside and the hostess said it would be about 30 minutes so we decided to wait at the bar. I should mention that there was NO ONE seated inside at the time, so it would have been easy to sit inside at that time. Forty-five minutes later, the same hostess came and sat us INSIDE. Discreetly, I walked back up to the hostess stand to ask her why she had not seated us outside as we had requested. She said she didn't know we wanted to be seated outside and we would have to now wait longer if we wanted to sit outside. She was EXTREMELY rude about the whole situation, and very clearly has no business being in the food service industry. If I were the manager, I would let her go before he/she loses more customers. I am not one to complain about restaurant experiences, but we eat out at Atlanta restaurants all of the time, and this experience definitely stands out as one of the worst experiences I have had. The service at the table was bad too. They brought us the wrong food, and it was very, very slow. I have been a Noche fan for a few years now, but I will not go back after this experience.

Great neighborhood place for tapas and margaritas. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a late lunch while spending the day in the Highlands. I typically love Tom Catherall's restaurants, and this one is no exception. We came during the day, when it wasn't quite as packed, but you could feel the festive ambiance. The margaritas and mojitos are delicious here, and they have a fair variety. We played it safe, since it was lunch, and ordered the queso fundido with chips, the chicken empanada, the crispy fish taco, and their version of shrimp and grits (which isn't on the menu anymore). Everything was good, but not AMAZING. Overall, this is a great tapas place to sample if you are in the area. But I'd recommend Pura Vida for those who really know and LOVE tapas.

Rude hostess. My friends and I are all new to Atlanta and love to try new resturants around town. We've been to Noche's about four times now. We usually go on Monday nights when they have the all you can eat. The menu is different every week so it's a great way to try something new. The downside to this is putting up with the "seater." She is extremely rude! When we arrived, there were literally two other people in the entire place and she asked if we had reservations. She made it appear that it was a real pain for her to have to seat us. We asked for a table for 4 and she said she couldn't seat us until the entire party arrived. We explained that the other 2 would arrive in less than a half hour and we would just like to start eating and enjoying the margaritas. We'd never had this problem before but we also had never seen her there before either. Even though the place had all these empty tables she refused! And really seemed to enjoy it. And to top it off, she had no problem seating an older white party that was incomplete. Needless to say, we won't be going back regardless of what type menu the chef can put out! It's just not worth the trouble and disrespect.

Great Place For Dinner & Drinks...For Rizzzeal!!!. I have to rave about the great meal I had at this bright and ecclectic VH eatery. We were seated immediately in the table of our choosing and although drink service was a tad slow, once our orders were in, a cornucopia of bite-sized delights ranging from spicy seafood morsels to BBQ(delicious pulled pork) to grilled meats with exotic dipping sauces were ferried to the table just as the last course was disappearing into our eager mouths. Of particular note was the miniature lobster burrito that complimented the specialty Margerita that I had ordered. Noche is a great place to grab a bite, enjoy some ambiance and build a solid foundation on which to float an ocean of liquor at surrounding VH bars and taverns. Free Parking in the rear!

Tapas. Noche left a bad taste in my mouth in more ways than one... I know in the restaurant biz arriving twenty minutes late for your reservation is equivalent to committing one of the seven deadly sins, but stuff happens. Unfortunately, immediately upon arrival the hostess took it upon herself to berate me and my guests about our tardiness. And I quote, "First of all, if you are going to be late for a reservation, you need to call. Secondly, when you make your reservation you need to give us a phone number so we can call you if there is a problem. We just took your table apart and now we have to put it back together, blah, blah, blah." After consuming sub par drinks and tapas we were basically told you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here (another party was slated to use our table). Next time I am in the mood for drinks and tapas I will go to Eclipse de Luna where the food has flavor and the staff isn't rude.

Cheap tapas but too crowded. Bar at Noche is good for inexpensive margaritas but way too crowded to enjoy. Seems VH area is overrun with cheap eats for cheap crowds. I will still go again but not during rush times. There are other restaurants in the area to enjoy small plates and discounted drinks without the mad dash Noche seems to draw. Great decor, colorful and energetic.

Great Tapas and Great Value. Delicious selection of tapas and a great wine/drink menu. The bar area at the front is crowded - making it difficult to get to the host stand. But once you are seated at your table - there is plenty of room - and it is a lot quieter. The staff was great - offering suggestions at my request and keeping the table full of great food. I recomend the pulled pork - it was very tender and tasty!

go on Monday night! (but make a reservation). Well, actually, even with a reservation, you still might have to wait: this has happened to me a couple of times. Monday night is a great deal because it's $10 per person for all-you-can-eat tapas. The list is pre-set, but has enough variety to keep everyone interested (and you can get as many refills of whatever dishes you especially liked). If you do go on a Monday, though, definitely try to show up early, early, or late, late, because it is crowded. The bartender was friendly, too. All in all, I agree with the previous poster: definitely try it out. You won't break the bank doing so!
