Overview
A series of parklands stretch along 48 miles of the Chattahoochee River and feature hiking and biking trails, picnic areas, fishing spots and boat launches. Hikers prefer the Island Ford, Vickery Creek, East and West Palisades and Cochran Shoals Units. The three-mile Cochran Fitness Trail is the most popular. Bikers flock to the Sope Creek Trail, also at Cochran Shoals.
