Pharmaceuticals are NOT the Best Groups for McKendrick's. I have a set budget for groups that I bring in for Presentations. I am very upfront about this. Not only was did my group go over budget, but my menu was wrong for my event. The LCD projector did not work well either. This was a disaster and I will not be back. I find this to be sad because I have been coming here for over 4 years. I told one of the Managers but no one seemed to care as no one has called me back.

Nasty Reservationist. I was going to come to McKendrick's for dinner to ask my bride to marry me. But the Reservationist was SO nasty and did not want to help me out. All I wanted was a special table, some flowers, and wine. She laughed at me when I asked for a Saturday night in April and told me that she "only makes reservations for her restaurant" but that the flowers would be up to me. She did not make me feel special so I went elsewhere.

Smells Like Cigars. Smells like old cigars but food overall was okay. Sent my steak back three times but they finally got it right.

Dry steaks. After all the positive reviews, I figured we were in for awesome steaks but I was disappointed. Two of five people at our table had steaks that were way overcooked. I ordered my steak medium but ended up with pratically well done. The sides were nothing special. I would certainly go to Chops or elsewhere for a good steak especially at this price.

Like Michael Vick ... It's a lot of hype. I thought this was supposed to be one of the best steakhouses in the country. Don't get me wrong, it was good, but I think the steaks at Stoney River, Fleming's, Bones and Chops are all better than McKendricks.

Enjoyable Atmosphere. On my first visit to McKendricks I was pleasantly surprised of the ambiance. It is by far suitable for a King and by that I mean it has a very masculine feel. We made reservations but decided to show up early to enjoy the bar. The wines we tried were fabulous. The tender was helpful and generous with servings.

Once we reached our table, on time, we were greeted very professionally. Our server was quick with the many requests that we had. He was honest with his opinion and made our evening out more enjoyable. The servers work as a team and make sure that all patrons are well taken care of.

The food was great. From Tempura lobster tails to crab cakes it was very delightful. Our sirloin steaks were prepared perfectly. I can't speak highly enough about this place. I highly recommend McKendricks.

Not just for the business bunch. I usually go to McKendrick's for business lunches, but recently have found myself just going there with friends for a nice relaxing lunch. The decor is definitely masculine, but it was still appealling to my female sensibilities. I've been there several times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The food is out of this world!

The Best Steakhouse Ever!!. I went to Mckendricks for Valentines Day last year and have been HOOKED ever since! It was amazing. The atmosphere is kind of 20's Chicagoesque right in the heart of Dunwoody!! The tempura lobster, my starter....sent me through the roof!! I thought that it could not get any better until my 16oz New York strip arrived, along with sides large enough to feed the whole table!! If you have room, get the creamed corn!! At first I thought, what is so special about creamed corn....I found out!! Don't drive all the way to overcrowded, super expensive Buckhead for steak. It's right here in Dunwoody!!

Perimeter-area steakhouse offers large portions, simple flavors and big-business energy.. The Scene
You might not see any briefcases open, but this classic, high-energy steakhouse clearly caters to the north side business traffic. Wood-trimmed, masculine decor and low lighting craft the perfect ambience for the meal after the meeting. Service is snappy, if not especially warm.

The Food
Steak, fish and seafood dominate the menu; game is occasionally offered. Appetizers tend to disappoint, as the Oysters Rockefeller lacks its distinctive anise flavor. But the entrees are divine. The 16-ounce rare rib-eye beholds a perfectly seared exterior, and the massive 14-ounce rare veal chop is sweet and flavorful. Go with the glorious asparagus on the side, with either classic béarnaise or hollandaise sauce. Desserts are sufficient for two and worth the calories, especially the pecan-laden Millionaire's Pie with coffee caramel ice cream.

Excellent. Great steaks, ranks up there as one of the best in Atlanta. Service was very good as well. The appetizer price was a little misleading as that particular dish was $20 a head not $20 total, so read menu carefully.
