Boasting an intimate atmosphere rival to its Buckhead sister, Intermezzo is perfect for a date or when rolling in numbers. The ceiling-to-floor windows and wall-lining-mirrors create an open feeling, and the candles and low lighting keep it cozy. The cafe serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, but the glass case full of desserts and the separate menu for drinks makes it clear what the focus is really on. Open until 2am on the weekends you can expect things to get hopping the closer it gets to closing time. There's a good mix to the crowd, from casual to dressy, couples to parties. If you're in…
Great Ambiance & Perfect Date Setting
by Honest Critic at Citysearch
Best part of Cafe Intermezzo is the setting. Dim candle light guarantees and romantic or intimate rendez-vous.
The drink menu is huge, I go for either:
Bellini (Peach Juice & Champagne)
Cara Mia (Mango Nectar & Champagne)
Bianco Cappuccino
Tea (huge selection as well, ask for an extra pot of water)
Food Menu:
Seafood Risotto is my husband’s favorite
Hummus: The traditional kind is my fav
Desserts:
Nutella Crepes! DELISH! I like to get mine with strawberries on the side
Tiramisu, delish as well!
Gelato: I love their Cappuccino Gelato, except one time recently I got it and it didn’t taste right, but every other time it has been good.
- Pros: Great Ambiance, Stay as long as you like
- Cons: Not the Best food but you can find something to eat
Mold on my cake!

We went there last night for dessert and drinks after dinner at Eclipse de Luna. Service was a little slow even though there were hardly anyone there. First, my friend's tea cup was dirty and it took them a long time just to bring her another cup. Then when the desserts finally came ($7.85 per piece of cake!), mine had mold on it and the other two tasted a little stale! We couldn't believe it! We won't be returning again that's for sure!
- Pros: Outdoor seating
- Cons: Mold on dessert and expensive to boot!
Worst Service I've Ever Received
by KikiGrantPark at Citysearch
I just went to Cafe Intermezzo today for a friend's bridal shower. Although we called ahead for reservations a week before, the wait staff acted clueless and could find no record of our reservation. Despite the fact that there were only two other people in the restaurant at the time, they acted like they were doing us a favor by setting up a table for 9 "on the spot." Once we were seated, solicitors selling makeup products (in a restaurant???) came in and to my horror, rather than send them away , our waitress looked at their products and did nothing as they approached our table to pitch their bogus makeup to us. Even though we kept repeating that we were not interested in their makeup and were annoyed that they were even trying to sell things to us, the waitress did nothing to remove them from the restaurant.
Things just never really got better from there. We had to get up and find someone everytime we needed something, and I just got the impression that the wait staff there just didn't care. If I managed that restaurant I would be appalled that my customers were treated the way we were treated today. I will never return to this restaurant, and I would never recommend it to anyone.
- Pros: Bathrooms are very nice
- Cons: Horrible Service
