Average GEORGIA TexMex... you will be full, fast and good $. Look, in past review, those that think this is the best Mexican food around, must have had 'Taco Bell' as their benchmark... so sad. La Botana is a Georgia TexMex Place... that means a serious drop down from real Mexican food and a definite drop down from the restaurants near the towns and cities on the Mexican/USA border (like in Texas!) but, still, La Botana is better than Taco Bell. That said, on the upside, this place is well run,the service is good and attentive and the food has ample portions. Caveat: When I arrived I asked the waitress where she was from, "Mexico Senior"... Great, so I asked "what on the menu here is closest to the food in Mexico?" "Oh, mi Dios, Senior... huevos?"

Fantastic staff!!. La Botana is by far my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is always great and the service is top shelf. Every time I go there I'm met with friendly smiles and a server who knows exactly what I want--cheese dip (jalapenos on the side), a chicken quesadilla and a glass of sweet tea, perfectly sweetened for this Southern girl's taste. I've been known to fly in from an exotic country and drive straight to La Botana for a dish of comfort food and familiar faces.

The prices are fit for any budget and you can always find a seat, with the exception of Friday nights. You may have to wait a few minutes, but it's worth it. Give it a try.

not as good as it used to be. I have been coming to this restaurant for quite a while almost since they open, they were doing really good but something happened... Last few times that I have been there, the environment is not the same, they are new faces, service is not as good as it used to be,I used to go there and they used to treat me like friends, nice warm feeling, now it is like they dont really care too much about make the customer feel like home. Food still good, but I missed the old La botana....

We like it. We really like it here. Haven't had any issues with service ourselves. Recommend the fish tacos and cheese enchiladas

RUDE! RUDE! RUDE!. My friends and I have been spending Happy Hours at this location for quite some time. In the past we have been very pleased with the food and service. Several of the waitstaff knew us by name and were always very friendly. Recently, however, the owner has been managing the restaurant. He is by far the RUDEST man I have ever met. One afternoon our usual group was refused service by this man. He wouldn't seat our incomplete party, and when we all arrived he still refused to seat us. He even charged me for eating chips the previous week (even though our total bill was over $150). With all the great Mexican Food around, I hope you will choose a DIFFERENT place rather than La Botana.

Cinco de Mayo -- 2006. After dining here for over 5 years, I will never show my face there again!!!!

Every Friday afternoon many of the teachers met here for drinks and food. On Cinco de Mayo-2006, twelve of us planned on meeting here for drinks and food--a couple of us who didn't have "after-school duty" decided to get there early for a table. While the outside deck was full, the interior of the restaurant was not--yet, the owner refused to seat us at a table until our entire party arrived (they would be there by 3:15 p.m). Mind you, we have supported this restaurant with a $150+ tab every Friday afternoon for the past several years, and we normally vacate this restaurant by 5:30--6:00pm! We didn't understand the "owners mindset" and questioned him about this--needless to say, the owner was extremely rude and unyielding--we were very insulted by this owner's behavior!

Best Mexican in Town!. I've been to many mexican Rest. but by far LB is the best. The fish tacos and a rasberry marg. are to die for. I eat here at least every other week. It's a great place for fast service and good food. Sometimes, there aren't enough parking spots b/c of the small lot. If you love mexican food like I do, you have got to try it out.

Love it!. My husband and I love La Botana. We go at least 2-3 times a month. The service is great. The people who work there are extremely friendly. The food and margaritas are perfect. We have been to a lot of Mexican restaurants in Atlanta and La Botana is our favorite. Also this restaurant is kid friendly. Also, the other review mentions that you can watch the t.v. from the bar. There is no bar at La Botana so I would discount this user's review. It doesn't seem like this person has the right place.

Good but far from great. This place is around the corner from my job, so we hit this place for a quick cheap bite. I don't see the food as that spectacular as others has rated - was pretty disappointed with the seafood fajita - the veggies certainly seemed like overcooked frozen veggies and the seafood was miniscule. But, for basic mexican - ie tacos, burritos, it's good but not great food. They also have a tv for watching games by the bar that you can watch from some seats.
