Finally Good Chinese!

We visited this restaurant on Thanksgiving, as we are not very traditional and didn't have family in town. Sadly, it is completely across town, as we live on the west side. It was recommended to us by a native Korean who enjoys authentic chinese. We asked the owner for his recommendations for authentic chinese, as we had heard of the "other" menu but can't actually read chinese. He recommended the "chinese style" Kung Pau chicken, a mixed seafood dish and the sauteed Snow Pea leaves. All I can say is WOW! Finally, Chinese food that is not gooey, gloppy or sludgelike. In addition, it's not overly sweet, which is great! The vegetables all appear freshy cut (no frozen veggies here) and you can watch your dish being prepared thru the see-through window to the kitchen. The snow pea leaves were phenominal, who would have guessed? And the chinese Kung Pau, simply the best I've ever had. What a wonderful experience. . .please open one on the west side of Atlanta, please?
- Pros: Great Food!
- Cons: Too far from my home!

I'm very disappointed. This restaurant is just 5 minutes away from home and we used to consider it a good choice in our neighborhood (although certainly not the best). Last week we went there for dinner, and both my husband and I felt sick after eating there. We thought it might have been just a coincidence, so the following day my husband had some of the leftover. Guess what! He felt sick again. I am pregnant, so I was more cautious and just threw all my leftovers away. My husband ordered a dish that had beef and vegetables and I had Chinese-style mopotofu. We are definitely not going back there!

I eat out a lot, especially out to Chinese restaurants but China Inn has to be one of the best chinese restaurants i've been too. it's the most authentic compared to those other places that serve gloopy sauced meals. I recommend the pocket tofu, spicy beef or fish bowls, shredded pork and beef, and the fish soup. The restaurant is very clean and even has an open kitchen.
- Pros: food, service, decor
- Cons: location
