Another Buford Highway find dishes the real-ethnic-deal..
For those of you who don’t habla Espanol, El Rey del Taco is Spanish for, the King of the Taco. As authentic as it gets, though still gringo friendly, this Buford Highway taco palace serves up super cheap tacos (mini’s are $1) filled with ingredients like goat meat, pork, carne asada, and more adventurous fillings like cow cheek, chitlins, and tongue. Request a couple and share a bowl of fresh guacamole served with classic tortilla chips and already-on-the-table spicy green mole sauce. Semi-cheap imports are a great go-to when washing down a corn-tortilla filled with pork, cilantro, and onions, thought there are some other interesting beverages like sweet rice water or fresh OJ.
