Turned a Special Night into a Nightmare. I used to like your restaurant, until you turned a special night into the worst experience ever, didn't even wait for us to finish our meals before you turned the lights on/music off and started the vacuum cleaner..at 10pm...we got there 8:...45...ordered the works, and were rushed out so quickly...our server didn't even wait to untuck her blouse...and then to tell us we couldn't stay....really??? And the owner and managers did NOTHING to rectify it. Owner wouldn't even speak to me in person, only via phone while I stood outside of the restaurant. Pathetic attitudes towards people spending good money in this horrible economy (apps, bottle of wine, house specials, etc). Not even the offer to turn the music back on and dim the lights so we can finish our meals...or even turn the vacuum cleaner off. Like I said, a special night ruined due to lack of quality service. I will never recommend your restaurant ever again. And you won't even give a ____ because that's the attitude you exhibited from the beginning of the complaint. No offer to comp anything for the bad service.
Never a bad experiance!.
My wife and I along with friends and children have been to this restaurant many times over the past 10 years and have always had a great meal, very cordial service, and would recommend to anyone.
We've tried coconut soup across the US and never found any this good. The Ped Pad Pla Duc (may have mispelled this) is outstanding (it's catfish) with wonderful sauces. Anyway, it's all great.
It was a real surprise when someone told us where it was (in a small strip shopping area near Vinings. And even more of a surprise when we discovered the food, white table cloth on tables, etc.
Oustanding food & service. If you are searching for the perfect place to dine in Vinings, search no further. We have been frequenting this restaurant at least once a week since we first tried it several years ago. We always order several dishes b/c they are all so delicious we can never decide on just one...from the Bankok Chicken to the Sweet & Sour Dishes to the Panang Curry...nothing will disappoint your taste buds. The staff is always promt and attentive & the overall service is impeccable. The atmosphere is also perfect for a romantic night out. If you are craving Thai food, you need to run not walk! You will LOVE this place.
great food and we have always had great service - if in doubt try the Bangkok Chicken!!.
Ok I am writing this review because this is great food and we have always had great service. I see the comments on attitude here and I?m thinking maybe some hard to please patrons are casting a negative vibe and getting back what they are putting out. But our experience at Thai Dinner has always been excellent. My wife and I started eating there regularly about 2 years ago. The food is absolutely wonderful and very consistent. My wife loves the Bangkok Chicken and we have taken some discerning people there to try it ( i.e. the inlaws). Maybe it is not the most authentic Thai but this is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta you can go to have a great meal and generally get seated when you walk in. Pam, the owner, has always been really wonderful to us. She was extra nice this past Saturday - Feb 14th Valentine?s day when she clearly had plenty of business ??.I noticed how she recognized and treated some of her regular customers.
And if in doubt try the Bangkok Chicken!!
Outstanding, consistent Thai food. We dined at Thai Diner once, and since have had take out countless times. The food is consistently scrumptious. We order the chicken yellow curry, the pad thai, and the tom yum goong soup. They also are wonderful about making great recommendations to help us branch out from our usual order. Ironically, the first time we ate there, I wasn't all that impressed ( don't remember there being any problem with service, but I thought the food was middle of the road). However, it is close to where we live, so I tried it for take out and the food has always been wonderful - we now get take out there about once a week. Enjoy consistent, fresh, tasty Thai food.
Decent Food bad service. I would say they have a decent food quality and taste however their service & mannerisms needs to improve a lot.
Thai Diner is the BEST place to eat!. I've been dining in Thai Diner ever since it first opened. I don't know what all of those negative reviews are talking about because the service is ALWAYS great, the food ALWAYS tastes very authentic and consistent, and my kids even know Ms. Pam for almost their whole childhood! They are going to college now and they always tell me that they are going to miss the food at Thai Diner. I highly recommend Thai Diner because it is the BEST thai food in town.
Fantastic Thai. Thai Diner is OUTSTANDING! I don't know what the last review is about. I have been to this restaurant numerous times and have NEVER been disappointed. The food is consistently fantastic and the service is spot on. My co-workers and I have made it a regular destination in our lunch rotation. I thought nothing could compare to Annies Thai Castle, but this restaurant is ranked right next to it in my book.
Overrated.
Thai Diner is very overrated. It is not authentic Thai food. It tastes more like watered down Thai. I ordered the basil fried rice and the taste was very bland. I asked for it to be extra spicy and it wasn't. I tried my friend's Pad thai and that was quite bland and boring as well.
The service also was pretty poor. I won't go back since there are soo many better thai dining spots in Atlanta.
I Enjoy Great Thai Food and Thai Diner is the Best in Atlanta.
I have been dining at the Thai Diner for lunch and dinner for several years and have never been disappointed. Their Mango Shrimp is the best I have had at any Thai restaurant in the the country.
I have highly recommended Thai Diner to many of my friends.
