“The tilapia was delicious, the blue margarita was dizzying and the upbeat music made the whole experience grand.”
Quite probably the worst customer
service I've EVER received at a restaurant. We ordered our dinner to go, since we were heading to a show, and my wife's petite sirloin steak was very poor quality and full of gristle. We didn't have time to go back then, so we went by after the show since we were staying in a hotel next to the restaurant. The general manager was not at all apologetic, was very condescending, acted like I was out to take advantage of him or something, and was downright rude! We were planning on coming in for drinks and a dessert if they tried to make things right, but they did the exact opposite. We didn't even ask for another meal or refund. We didn't have any of the steak left since my wife had to eat something for dinner, but I showed him the pile of gristle, and the receipt for our meals. He said that "the meat was gone, so he couldn't (wouldn't) do anything. He then asked if there was "anything else" he could do. I mentioned that we were thinking about coming in for dessert since my wife likes the chocolate lava cake. He said that he couldn't give us the piece of cake for free (maybe $2 food cost if that), but "I have a cupcake I can give you". No joke, he offered us a cupcake- not even on the menu- what in the world!! I told him to keep his cupcake and I'd keep my business- and take it elsewhere. I will never return to this Ruby Tuesday. Beware, if you have a problem while eating here, you are likely to suffer the same fate as us.
I called the district manager of Ruby Tuesdays and she was the exact opposite- very apologetic, sincere, helpful, and wanting to earn my business back. Because of her, I will still go to other Ruby Tuesday's- just not this one.
Worth the wait. The wait time is long, but the host is hilariously chatty and animated. The serving staff are all very lively and we seemed to be being waited on by about 5 different people, which was confusing but efficient. The tilapia was delicious, the blue margarita was dizzying and the upbeat music made the whole experience grand.
