Great if you're loved one is elderly ... but if not .... My husband had a brain tumor removed 6 weeks ago. He spent a month in Emory's Rehab and was showing good hope of reovery.Then he was deemed " ready for sub-acute care." I think this was an insurance decidion. At Emory, he was standing, spent a good deal of his time in a wheelchair moving about. But once they moved him to Budd Terrace, he spends most of his days in bed! He's terribly unhappy, as am I. The people are nice, but lazy. They are not even trying to help him use a bedside commode ... they put him in diapers!! You want demeanimg! He's depressed beyond belief. And I want him out of there as soon as I can figure out how to get him home to our second floor walk- up apartment.

Reliable Care for Your Elderly Loved One. The care was consistently *very* good. The nursing staff on the 7th floor are committed to genuinely attentive care. They were always faithful to id any health problems that arose and get them addresses quickly and thoroughly. On that front, I recommend Budd Terrace highly. The activities director is truly a saint and no one will want for enjoyable, enagaging passtimes. The rehab therapists (PT, OT, etc) are also excellent. However nowhere is perfect. The biggest downfall in Budd Terrace's service is the food, which is mediocre at best. Sometimes its downright bad. Nor are residents meal selections reliably fulfilled. Another area that needs improvement is the laundry service. It's too hard on clothes and "disappearances" remain too common. For me, the care trumped everything else and I was always grateful to have my parents there. However for the comparatively high price of this facility, there should be no area of service that is deficient.
