Citysearch Editorial Review. Located in an immense Toco Hills shopping center, this mangy college bar is a beautiful mess. During the semester it's wall to wall slammed with Emory Eagles spending their parents’ money on libations that make late night studying for anatomy a great combination with Phys Ed. A few pool tables, a back patio, and an amazingly tolerant and friendly staff keep the Maggie’s a tradition. Strangely, there’s never any loud music blaring, but that’s a welcome relief from the standard college bar jukeboxes or a kid with an acoustic guitar murdering Third Eye Blind. Maggie's pours later than the City of Atlanta and weekends are the late night last stops and are obviously packed. But Tuesdays are legendary for these private school over-achievers. So put your polo shirt, dive in and get weird on a school night.

fun crowd party central. new owner is very nice guy focused on the ideas of the customers should maybe think about using music of some sort i.e. band or dj the emory crowd would enjoy it, and it would go head to head with neighboring bars

Favorite Emory Bar. Maggie's is the second home for Emory students, who end up here post-club, post-frat party, or post-library, nearly seven days a week. The bouncers know everyone by name and the bartenders work quickly to fill the belligerently drunk students' incessant orders. Students congregate around the bar's three pool tables or in booths until the early hours of the morning when they are forced to leave. Don't go here if you aren't in college- you will feel OLD! It's loud, it smells like smoke, and you can barely hear the words of the classic rock playing in the background, but it's definitely an Emory favorite.

Party central for the Emory crowd.. The Scene
Maggie's is one of those classic grungy college dives you have fond (if somewhat hazy) memories of. You might have funneled your first beer there. Maybe once, on a dare, you ripped off your shirt, jumped up on the table and did the "Roger Rabbit" as the crowd cheered wildly. Whether you want to relive some of those seminal college moments, or just egg on drunk Emory kids, head to Maggie's. There's nothing glamorous about the place, but then, why should there be? It serves beer, and that better be good enough.

The Crowd
Almost exclusively Emory students--what percentage of them are actually 21 is up for speculation (seen posted on the front door: "No New Jersey IDs tonight"). An average weekend night means a swirling sea of Abercrombie & Fitch-issue plaid, dirty baseball caps and fleece pullovers.
