The Scene – Tinted glass doors scare off pseudo-sports fans who flock to ESPN Zone and Three Dollar Cafe. This Emory bar shows every pro football game, making it a big draw on fall Sundays (especially with Jets fans). Plenty of big screens--scattered across two cavernous rooms--ensure good seating, and the staff goes out of its way to accommodate game requests. The waitstaff is understanding if you want to nurse your lunch for three hours. – – The Draw – On a sparkling 70-degree Sunday in October, when most of Atlanta is enjoying the outdoors, look for the kind of…
NOT THE SAME AT ALL

HORRIFIC. I TOO HAVE GROWN UP IN TOCO HILLS AND HAVE BEEN TO FAMOUS PUB THOUSANDS OF TIMES BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO MORE. IT HAS CHANGED DRASTICALLY. EMPLOYEES SMELL OF SMOKE AND BEER ON THEIR BREATH. YOU HAVE TO GO FIND THEM WHEN YOU WANT SOMETHING. FOOD NOT GOOD ANYMORE, OUT OF ALL KINDS OF BEER AND FOOD. IF YOU NEED A SPORTS BAR IN THE AREA, TRY CHEYENNE GRILL AT PEACHTREE BATTLE. MUCH BETTER SERVICE, BETTER PRICING, EXTREMELY CLEAN, LOTS OF TABLES, PLENTY OF FREE PARKING, AWESOME FOOD, FRIENDLY STAFF. THEY EVEN HAVE KENO AND THEY PAY YOU RIGHT AWAY IF YOU WIN.
- Pros: BIG PARKING LOT
- Cons: FOOD, SERVICE, ENVIRONMENT, NASTY BATHROOMS
They lost their best people
by dgilesagain
What happened to this place is the loss of their best people. The owner and his wife got a divorce, (she was the one with brains) and then the daugher and son in law left. All that is left now are drunks and mess ups. Everyone seems lazy, uneducated, dense and rude, to say the least.
- Pros: plenty t.v.'s
- Cons: bad service,,,,bad atmosphere
Famous is awesome!!!
by hockeycougar
Yes, the management has changed, but for the better!!! Better bartenders, better servers, and better food. Famous is great for watching football on Saturdays, and even during the week, the food is really good and the specials are awesome. It gets crowded a bit on weekend nights, but I've never had bad service. And even the crowds are full of beautiful people. :) If you just want to hang out with friends and drink and play pool or watch a game or just people-watch, this is the place to be. And there's plenty of parking!!! Where else can you find a fun place to hang out that stays open late and serves an awesome late-night menu too???
- Pros: good-looking crowd, good prices, great staff
- Cons: a bit crowded sometimes
