They have outstanding sandwiches in here. I love their veggie sandwich because everything in that is fresh and crispy. This is just a wonderful place, straight out of the bat.

Two poor and below average reviews from Health Dept !. This place needs revamping in more ways than one! First of all, we were regular customers for several years until we realized how nasty the joint actually is. We were their on an early morning sitting near the window so we could see the bakery door open . Bagles were falling on the floor and someone was picking them up and putting them back on the table. This was our first warning of not going to this establishment.

The food is never consistent. I have had soggy pancakes on several occasions. Eggs and bacon that taste rotten. The food is always "fresh" according to Cheryl. What a joke. She only want your dollar!

Girlfriend pick up a rag and clean those microwaves out

instead of trying to steal customers from the other sweet

waitress that works their.

When and if you do go in their just ask to see the Healtn

Dept. inspections. They keep the poorly scores hidden

behind the fair scores that allows them to keep the

joint open.

And to make things worse you have an owner walking around with open ulcers on his leg. Along with the other owner chasing a crazy person around the joint.

The new bagel shop at Toco Hills could not open any quicker. We will be waiting with joy!

The only reason for eating there is Cheryl. We have been regular customers of Bagel Palace for years. We tolerate the poorly and inconsistently cooked food only because of the terrific attention we get from the waitress, Cheryl. We look forward to seeing her and enjoy the attention and interaction we receive. She is the only reason we come to this restaurant.

Shambles. I've been a regular to a sorta regular to the occasional client of Bagel Palace over the years. Today marks me into the rare if ever to return.

1)Chicken Noodle Soup was cool; the spoon was a well used teaspoon served in a well used bowl.

2)my omelette was actually cooked eggs that were chopped with cornd beef and a .90 slice of American cheese. Hash Browns were cool...in lieu of crisp, chewy and almost stale.

3)the well used bowl with 4 pats of BUTTER and 2 pop top jams came with the not quite toasted sesame bagel.

That could have been the result of a bad day in the kitchen...but the following is simply inexcusable.

4) OLLLLD crumbs, food particles and butter wrappers on the floor under the table stand...in lieu of moving the table to sweep the whole floor uniformly.

5) the floor is filthy and spotted; doesn't appear to be waxed...but truly unclean.

6) the vinyl base mould along the show-counters (at the registers) has been missing for quite a while; although the mastic is there to grab anything that falls off the counter in the way of crumbs, etc.

7)the drink cooler is in desparate need of being cleaned.

8)the deli showcase could use a little cleaning up...outside and inside.

9)if you're not going to sell the chocolate toppings or jars of deli mustard...how about wipng the dust and grime off of them....marketing is appearance and pretty much everything in any business.

10) ceiling tiles...pretty rough looking; once they deteriorate stuff falls down to the floor...or someone's plate in the way.

11) clean the tables and chairs.

12) clean and dust out the magazine/book rack.

13) I can't bear to look at the pastries at the register...I can buy them at the German Bakery in much cleaner conditions.

....I could go on. However, my issue is simple...if it looks this bad in the restaurant...I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like.

The Gross's need to repave and do something about bringing about some semblence of the fine old appearance of Toco Hills.

I'm sorry guys. It just doesn't take that much to keep a clean restaurant. Just because folks continue to come there to purchase doesn't excuse the owners of being sloven in simple maintenance.

A good breakfast "tweener". So I've lived in the Toco Hills area for going on 4 years, and for some reason I had never tried this place until this past weekend for Sunday brunch. I suppose whenever I felt like a bagel, Einstein Bros. was sort of the known commodity. Well finally, the wife and I gave this place a try, and I would say after one visit I was fairly impressed.

I got a sausage, egg, & cheese bagel with grits while she got a bagel with cream cheese and a fruit salad. The bagels were fresh and yummy, but the fruit looked a little old to me. The grits were average, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. On the way out, I noticed a monstrous sandwich of some sort being brought to a table. If you like a lot of meat between your bread slices (like I do) then give this place a shot for lunch (like I plan to).

I would tag Bagel Palace as a step up from the likes of Einstein Bros and in terms of an overall breakfast joint, I'd put it right on par with Original Pancake House or Goldberg's.

Are the other reviews fake?. I have been to almost every single deli in Los Angeles and Bagel Palace Deli rates right up there. The rye bread is exceptional. The sweets are fantastic, as good as Junior's in L.A. and much cheaper. The cream cheese selection is immense. Having moved to Atlanta three years ago, it's fantastic that when I have a craving as I do now for real deli food, this place is there for me. I have no idea how this place got so many bad reviews. Goldberg's is also excellent.

Bagel Nazis. I am a New Yorker presently living in Chattanooga, TN. As I can't get good bagels at home, I buy dozens to bring home when I travel. I was somewhat satisfied with Goldberg's bagels that I got on my last trip to Atlanta but thought I'd try this place based on reviews from this site.

I bought one bagel to try before ordering more. There were few people there at mid morning so I sat at a table and started to pick-up a pat of butter. The waitress immediately accosted me with "You dont get butter with one bagel and you can't sit at that table, it's for the lunch crowd." I looked around at the empty tables and said "I don't see anyone." She said that they would be coming and I had to go.

At this point, I was ready to leave and go to Goldbergs but I was out of time. I bit my tongue and got up to get the bagels. I asked the counter woman for four dozen bagels and plenty of plastic bags. The older woman next to her, probably an owner, snapped, "one bag per dozen."

I felt like I was in a Seinfled episode. These idiots were more interested in a nickle's worth of butter, and bags than keeping me as a customer.

I wish I could say that I just walked out at this point but I was desperate for a real water bagel so I bought them.

The bagels were not as good as Goldberg's but better than what I get at home. I'll certainly never return.

The best place for good Jewish food and pastries!!!. As long as I remember, it is the only place in Atlanta where I can get salami and eggs, and my favorite pastries and wash it down with Dr. Brown's Black Cherry Cola. Every family special occasion begins with picking up Bagels, whitefish salad, lox, and whatever tempts me in the case.

Is Horrible. The Bagel Palace is sleezy, dirty, and run down. The bagels are bad as well as the rest of the menu. Overpriced and unfufilled. Can't hold a candle to the real places. Doesn't even remind me of New York or New Jersey, and I lived in Jersey for 21 years. I hope your business goes under, I'm taking my business across the street to Einsteins, where you can get a decent bagel without getting ripped off. Don't even waste your time going to this hole in the wall.
