People flock to the sweet smell of freshly baked bagels and other baked goods coming from Bagel Palace, a full service bakery and deli. Our bagels are made just like the best bagels in New York, with the dough boiled and then baked, making a slightly crisp outside and dense, chewy interior. Our deli soups and sandwiches are also fresh and authentic. Try our matzoh ball soup, good Nova and terrific pastrami and corned beef. Our menu choices are endless. We are open daily and located in the Toco Hills Shopping Center.

The Scene – It's very much the typical deli with a strip-mall storefront outside and long, brimming refrigerated bakery cases inside. Early hours and lightning-fast service bring a big breakfast crowd. Expect to wait with the Toco Hills regulars on weekends. – – The Food – The menu isn't kosher--you can get bacon--but it is encyclopedic. Think bagels with absolutely anything, a sandwich smorgasbord and 20 kinds of omelettes, not to mention to-go breads, pastries, cheeses and cold cuts. Whitefish, pastrami, egg salad and knishes are expected standards, but matzoh Brie…

A good breakfast "tweener"

So I've lived in the Toco Hills area for going on 4 years, and for some reason I had never tried this place until this past weekend for Sunday brunch. I suppose whenever I felt like a bagel, Einstein Bros. was sort of the known commodity. Well finally, the wife and I gave this place a try, and I would say after one visit I was fairly impressed.
I got a sausage, egg, & cheese bagel with grits while she got a bagel with cream cheese and a fruit salad. The bagels were fresh and yummy, but the fruit looked a little old to me. The grits were average, but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. On the way out, I noticed a monstrous sandwich of some sort being brought to a table. If you like a lot of meat between your bread slices (like I do) then give this place a shot for lunch (like I plan to).
I would tag Bagel Palace as a step up from the likes of Einstein Bros and in terms of an overall breakfast joint, I'd put it right on par with Original Pancake House or Goldberg's.
- Pros: lots to choose from
- Cons: a tad on the pricey side
Are the other reviews fake?

I have been to almost every single deli in Los Angeles and Bagel Palace Deli rates right up there. The rye bread is exceptional. The sweets are fantastic, as good as Junior's in L.A. and much cheaper. The cream cheese selection is immense. Having moved to Atlanta three years ago, it's fantastic that when I have a craving as I do now for real deli food, this place is there for me. I have no idea how this place got so many bad reviews. Goldberg's is also excellent.
- Pros: Best deli food in Atlanta
- Cons: Not a lot of ambiance
Bagel Nazis

I am a New Yorker presently living in Chattanooga, TN. As I can't get good bagels at home, I buy dozens to bring home when I travel. I was somewhat satisfied with Goldberg's bagels that I got on my last trip to Atlanta but thought I'd try this place based on reviews from this site.
I bought one bagel to try before ordering more. There were few people there at mid morning so I sat at a table and started to pick-up a pat of butter. The waitress immediately accosted me with "You dont get butter with one bagel and you can't sit at that table, it's for the lunch crowd." I looked around at the empty tables and said "I don't see anyone." She said that they would be coming and I had to go.
At this point, I was ready to leave and go to Goldbergs but I was out of time. I bit my tongue and got up to get the bagels. I asked the counter woman for four dozen bagels and plenty of plastic bags. The older woman next to her, probably an owner, snapped, "one bag per dozen."
I felt like I was in a Seinfled episode. These idiots were more interested in a nickle's worth of butter, and bags than keeping me as a customer.
I wish I could say that I just walked out at this point but I was desperate for a real water bagel so I bought them.
The bagels were not as good as Goldberg's but better than what I get at home. I'll certainly never return.
- Pros: none
- Cons: Treated terribly
