Tips for Roly Poly-Loemann's

December 20, 2006

It's a wrap: A smorgasbord of sandwich choices and simple decor rolled into one well-marketed, convenient package.. The Scene
A fairly hefty lunch crowd quietly eats the chain's trademark wraps and rolled sandwiches in a clean, spartan dining space. What was once a small sandwich franchise in Buckhead has evolved into a 250-plus shop national operation. Regulars return time and again for the original rolled sandwiches and constantly growing menu.

The Food
A wide selection of more than fifty sandwiches makes it difficult to narrow down the order. Unusual combinations of ingredients include the Basil Cashew Chicken with spicy Thai hot sauce (#30). The Italian Classic (#21) bursts with baked ham, genoa salami, provolone, artichoke hearts, roasted red bell peppers, onion, lettuce and tomato--topped off with creamy Italian dressing. Grilled sandwiches are flavorful, especially the California turkey with mango chutney. Tollhouse cookies, one-dimensional chocolate chip confections, are warm and good for the sugar rush.

Owner makes a change. The food has always been great, but the new owner makes it a very enjoyable place to dine. From the moment you walk in the door, you can tell the differnece. The dining area is cleaner, the workers are more presentable and the service is wonderful. Very much worth checking out.
