“Good location and the same doctor”
“Overall this is a good place to take my pets.”
“The staff is very nice and unless busy always eager to help me out to my car.”
Long time customer. Have been coming here since Dr. Lawrence owned the practice in the 1980's. Dr. Weir has taken care of my all my pets. He is kind and gentle and knows them well. Bldg is a little shabby, but the care is not.
Consistency is Key.
This is the ONLY vet I have used for my adopted dog and rescued cat. Yes it costs more at Lawrence Animal Hospital than at (shudder) Banfield etc however the peace of mind I have knowing that Dr. Weir is experienced, professional, competent, and that my "kids" are safe in his care is priceless. The only complaints I have are that Dr. Weir could be more nutrition-minded when treating his patients. He was medicating my dog for things that cleared up within weeks of changing her dog food to grainless (at the suggestion of a minimum-wage-paid pet store employee, no less.) Additionally Dr. Weir isn't exactly a "warm fuzzy" in terms of personality. I don't take it personally but it seems like something that could limit that essential client-doctor relationship.
I guess some are turned off by the kinda creepy-looking building, but don't judge that book by its cover :)
Good location and the same doctor.
Overall this is a good place to take my pets. The staff is very nice and unless busy always eager to help me out to my car. It's a small veterinary clinic and there is only one doctor. This is important to me because I don't like multiple doctors treating my animals. I prefer that one doctor know what's going on and treat accordingly, just like my own doctor.
The hospital itself could use a little updating, but the treatment my animals get is more important.
