“Rude manager”
Low rent. pass this one by. Old building needs renovation. Food was stale tasting. Service only so-so. Not very clean.
Breakfast served all day and pancakes served a variety of ways are the hallmarks of this diner-style restaurant..
In Short
The first International House of Pancakes opened in a suburb of Los Angeles in 1958 serving a menu of hearty breakfast favorites. Today the restaurant still serves its signature dishes like the original buttermilk pancakes and pigs in blankets: sausage links wrapped in hotcakes. Other breakfast items include waffles, omelets, French toast and crepes. Non-breakfast offerings include sandwiches, burgers, entree-sized salads, and dinners like T-bone steak, pot roast and herb-roasted chicken.
Beware!!! Rude manager. Beware. Long wait. Poor service - gotta wait an hour to have the food. Hard to find waitress who ignores your requests. She messed up the check. Then they wasted 30 mins trying to figure it out. Manager came and yelled at the customers. He was very rude, didn't apologize. When we asked his name he literally yelled that he doesn't give us his name. Be careful, if things are smooth it's ok, but if they mess things up they yell at you...
Steer Clear of this IHOP. My big problem is with the management. Kids eat free weeknights from 4 - 9 with an adult meal. We got a bill and my boyfriend had already signed his credit card when I said, "We were supposed to get our daughter's for free." The manager said, "But it was rung up as a Senior meal--there's nothing I can do." Obviously, we had no seniors in our party; it was a mistake on the part of our waitress (who was probably one of the best I've had at this place). My boyfriend was like, "There's got to be something you can do. Void the order and start over. Refund us in cash. Give us a coupon." He then looked very agitated and said he could give us a cash refund, but it was coming out of our waitress' pay. We were disgusted and said, "Don't worry about it."
