We invite you to experience why an entire industry looks to Van Michael for their beauty needs, from international photoshoots, Aveda sponsored education events, celebrity clientele, and most importantly our clients that grace our chairs everyday. All of these people choose Van Michael because of one thing, consistency in delivering the best hair services.
"I'm just wild about Harry..." – I am a "mature" woman who works with a lot of cute younger women and wanted to look for a fresh new hairstyle. It seems my last stylist could only see me one way. That was about three years ago. I have a good friend whose hair I have always liked, so asked her for a recommendation. Not only did I get a get a spunky new do, but I made a friend in the process. Harry is the Hudini of hairstylists and gave me a look that I think belies my age, but still looks appropriate. He has also taken the time to get to know me, so that as recently stated he was able to say, "your hair style suits your personality". Harry is the "other man" in my life and I would recommend him to anyone (and have) who asks advice about a talented professional stylist.
Stylist: HARRY and Colorist: DANIELLE – One of my favorite things to do is getting my hair colored and cut! There is something about watching a colorist and stylist think creatively. I recently saw Danielle (colorist) and Harry (stylist) at Van Michael Salon in Sandy Springs, GA. What to most artists would have been a challenging task to fix my colored hair and cut, these two individuals made it look simple. Both of them exude creativity beyond your imagination and are passionate about their work!!! I am confident you will be amazed!! I have received several compliments on my hair from friends and people I have never met....how sweet is that:)
Harry: Hair Man Extraordinaire – Living abroad can be incredibly difficult at times, and that stress is multiplied by being unable to find a good stylist. I live in Korea and have had several very bad haircuts, but I'm happy to say that Harry has rescued me from my bad hair days. I found out about him from citysearch and made an appt upon my return to Atlanta. Having read all his reviews, I thought he was probably a little too good to be true, but I'm happy to report I was wrong. He lives up to expectations and then some. He's very knowledgeable and confident in his ability which are traits I love in a stylist, and he has helped me to feel good about my hair again. I left the salon not only with a great cut/color but with an added spring in my step:-) I'll definitely be visiting him again before I return to Korea, and I hope you will too. Thanks Harry!
Harry Wood – As a guy this was my first experience at a hair salon after only going to barber shops for decades. It was worth the money. Harry took my concern for my professional work setting, my girlfriend's desire for a very improved look, something that was easy for me to do and Harry gave me a look that meet all these. I felt much more confident (no more stale look), women at work complimented my new style and my girlfriend was relieved that she could be seen with me on the town. Harry's idea for my hair style was one that looks good in all settings and can be tweeked to the mood and environment you are anticipating.
The Best Salon in Atlanta!!!! – Moving from New York, I worried about finding talented stylists, but most of all, technicians who know how to handle "ethnic" hair, especially since I have noticed that there are few "ethnic" women in East Cobb. My friend with gorgeous curly hair recommended Van Michael in Sandy Springs. I was thrilled with their expertise, kind staff and professionalism. Unfortunately, I have been dealing with a serious illness and had to quit my job last June. With a husband and 2 children, I had to put my family first. To save money, I tried less expensive salons. It wasn't worth it. I came out of a salon looking great, but soon looked like The Bride of Frankenstein. I have now returned to Van Michael. To reduce my costs, I am trying to extend the time between visits and/or only get one service at a time instead of getting both a cut and color together so I can continue as a Van Michael Salon client. Finally Found AZIA!! – I have been going to Van Michael for years and have always bounced around to different stylists......While the services are amazing and there are four convient locations, it really comes down to the relationship you form with your stylist that keeps one really coming back. I was rebooked with Azia months ago as I had missed my appointment. I immediately connected with her as she had a lot of energy, kept me laughing througout my service, and ontop of this did a fantastic job creating just the right color i was looking for!! I never went elsewhere for color after that appointment, except that she left suddenly about 7 months ago and no one could tell me where she went! I recently found her at Salon Moraee in midtown and i am ever so happy!!!!!!!! As for Van Michael i still go for my cuts and they are amazing, but as for my color i have to say i have to stick with Ms Azia!
ask for Denise – I had high expectations walking into the salon. For the prices they charge for highlights, I was expecting them to be perfect....they were. I have been to salons all over town, and this is by far the best . It was well worth the extra money. I would rather walk out of a salon happy, then save $30 and find tons of mistakes when I get home.

you are all that and much more simply means a trip to see Harry! Having your hair styled by Harry (it is so much more than a cut) will mean complete confidence.and felling fantastic about how you look! Harry is an artist!
you absoultely must have chrissy do your color!!!!!!!!! – professional, knowledgeable, creative, great personality. I will never let anyone else touch my color. she is the BEST. she listens to what you have in mind and visualizes what you verbalize and creates the perfect color.
The Master, Harry Wood – If you want a stylist who is professional, will honestly help you choose a style to fit your schedule and personality and has a great personality then you want Harry Wood . Harry has been styling my hair for 12 years. Need I say more? I am constantly being asked by friends and strangers who styles my hair and am proud to recommend Harry. Top of the line, 100 % satisfaction, 5 stars, #1 on a scale of 1 to 10, Excellent, whatever your rating system is, Harry will always be number one.
