The Scene – Despite its location in a Buckhead office building, the Bucket Shop is very much the neighborhood bar. You'll find all the typical accoutrements: dingy white-tiled floors, dark wood, friendly bartenders and regulars hiding out in low-lit corner booths. People come to the Bucket Shop in shifts. The first is the happy hour crowd--think loosened ties, tasseled loafers and Palm Pilot envy. The second shift is a hodgepodge of after-hours restaurant folks and Deadheads. – – The Draw – The large happy-hour crowd comes for some of the better Buckhead networking…

I eat at the bar every day for lunch and drink here almost every night. I have consumed nearly every dish they currently offer and have sadly discontinued. I have spent a considerable amount of my paycheck at the bucket shop over the past 3 years and plan on spending more. Its not because the food is really delicious or the service is extremely cordial. The food is just easy to eat and the servers are bitter smart asses. But thats what i look for in a local bar. They keeps it real. The most annoying thing about the bucket shop is that they allow cigar smoking. Its not just that I loath the smell of cigar smoke. I think cigar smokers are lonely, pseudo playboy, attention hungry middle class "millionaires" who over-compensate for personal "short-comings" with large "turd-in-a-blanket" oral fixations. I wish the owner knew that they are loosing more business by catering to regular cigar smoking pseudo tycoons. Other than that, however, my favorite dish is the potroast special that they serve every so often. And if you are looking for a tasty beverage after hours, ask Joe or Mike for the exclusive Bucket Shop Valasa Raptor. If your Raptor impersonation is up to par, joe might give you a free shot or simply lick your eyeball if you are into that sort of thing.
- Pros: Valasa Raptor Shot
- Cons: Cigar Smoke

When I went, I sat at the bar, was greated by the friendly bar staff, had a couple of drinks, mingled, great music (I chose it from the jukebox!) The BBQ Chicken Nacho's were great - and HUGE as was the salad I had. I would definitely go back again!
- Pros: Service, food, parking..
- Cons: Smokey - Smoking is allowed

It's easy to become a regular at the bucket shop. If you can take the smokey atmosphere and less than attentive bar service, the food is decent and it's a cozy place to hang out. When it rains you also appreciate the covered parking.
