In Short
This chain started humbly in 1962 as a bikini shop named Lorne's in Newport Beach, Calif. By focusing on the tastes of young, trend-conscious female consumers, the small shop evolved into a large corporation. Each store stocks so many inexpensive clothes that one could spend hours sifting through the racks. Shirts come in every style from long-sleeved blouses to tiny tees. It also carries trendy pants, denim, sweaters and skirts plus purses, shoes and accessories.

In a going out fix?. Wet Seal undoubtedly has the perfect going out top to spice up your wardrobe. When I'm low on cash, but want something cute and sexy, I take a trip to Wet Seal. If you park on the upper parking deck outside of Macy's at the far end, you'll enter the mall right by Wet Seal, making your trip relatively painless. The sales here can be quite good if you watch them carefully, I've snagged cute tops for $5 and pants for as low as $12.
